Navalny - who is this? Brothers Navalnye - Oleg and Alexey (photo)

The Russian opposition as a generalized social movement suffers from a number of systemic defects. The disunity, the ambiguity of assessments of emerging situations and their changes, the difference in political platforms and goals are the incomplete list of factors that form the weakness of the influence of forces opposing the existing power, which, nevertheless, all their leaders characterize as "criminal" and "bloody". At the end of the first decade of the 21st century, a new actor appeared on the Russian political scene - Navalny. Who is this, what are the ambitions of this figure and why did he decide to lead the opposition movement? What are its goals, what does it call for? Polls conducted in Russia showed that half the country's population does not even know who it is. It's time to fill this gap.

Opposition is constructive and destructive

In modern Russia, protest moods have a certain social base, as in any other country. Ideal society has not yet been able to create any state, there are dissatisfied everywhere, and it is the opposition that always tries to use unfavorable factors. In essence, such is its political role, criticism of shortcomings, even very evil, contributes to improving the work of state structures. The opposition, setting destructive goals, pursued several other goals. For example, during the First World War, the Bolshevik Party did its utmost to weaken the state and destroy its foundations. To do this, all means were suitable, including undermining defenses, the use of money received from the enemy and direct sabotage. Each state, even positioning itself as the most democratic, has the right to fight against forces that seek to destroy it. Moreover, it is his duty to society. So what are the goals of the political movement headed by him in modern Russia, Alexei Navalny? Who supports and finances this movement?

Early Russian Opposition

The history of the emergence of modern Russian opposition begins in the late 80's. Most of its representatives sincerely fought the communist regime, sat in prisons, served links and proudly called themselves dissidents. Even then it was divided into "wings" - left and right, but, regardless of orientation, joyfully welcomed the coming to power of democratic forces headed by Boris N. Yeltsin. Not all oppositionists fully corresponded to the image of a zealot of national aspirations, that is why the first problems arose. In the vast expanses of the former USSR, meanwhile, the struggle for soul and power unfolded. Presidents and premiers in the post-Soviet countries were people who had been trained in the US (this biographical fact was perceived by the population at that time quite positively). Personnel who are knowingly friendly to the West were also preparing for Russia. Judging by the support provided, the best representatives of a set of promising democratic-liberal leaders in the United States were M. Kasyanov, B. Nemtsov or G. Yavlinsky.

Appearance

Opposition figures like G. Novodvorskaya, E. Limonov and even the famous chess player G. Kasparov as promising political figures were not considered, their images did not match the depth of the task. But the solid and experienced leaders of Yeltsin's time, proven and loyal to the West, also did not fit. Against them eloquently spoke the fact that they already had power, and more recently. The politicians and economists of the Yeltsin recruitment did not bring anything good to the people, and this has not yet been forgotten. A reboot was required. We needed a new leader who could unite the disunited opposition forces, have a certain charisma, high intelligence, sarcastic-ironic mindset and could speak beautifully, in other words, would have owned the audience. At the same time, such a person should ideally be deprived of the past. And such a candidate was found, his name was Alexei Navalny. Who is this, no one knew. Just an author-blogger. But dashing trouble began.

The family of the oppositionist

The parents of Alexei Anatolyevich are ordinary people. His father is a communication officer, a graduate of the Kiev Military School. Mother studied in Moscow (Moscow Institute of Management named after Ordzhonikidze). Born in 1976, the son of a military and future oppositionist often changed cities and schools. Currently, parents own a small enterprise engaged in the manufacture of wickerwork from vines products. Alexei has a younger brother, Oleg, who was born in 1984, but about him later. His wife is Yulia Borisovna. Children are two, Daria (2001) and Zakhar (2008). In general, the family as a family. Alexei Navalny lives in Marino (Moscow district, not related to the most prestigious). Modesty is adorned by politics, especially the young.

Study

After graduating from the Alabinsk school at the military camp, the young man entered the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, whose law faculty graduated in 1998. Aleksei Navalny managed to work in the bank, and a year before the end of the university showed a craving for commerce, becoming the founder of the society "Nesna" (hairdresser). It did not work, the firm was sold, but the search for a better life continued. The young man received a second higher education in the Financial Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation at the Faculty of Finance and Credit, becoming a specialist in exchange business and securities. The desire to learn was manifested again in 2010, when he managed to pass a six-year course of study (the grant program "Yale World Fellows") in the US at Yale University. The recommendation to the beginning politician was given by the venerable Russian oppositionists E. Albats, O. Tsyvinsky, S. Guriev and G. Kasparov. They were known in America, they listened to their words.

Work path

LLC "Alllect" was registered in 1997 as an agent of the opposition SPS. It was engaged in advertising, its activities were not very successful, despite the fact that the "Right Forces" paid for its services in the amount of almost a hundred million rubles, of which five percent received as compensation to Deputy Director Navalny. Who would consider this to be a violation of law or financial discipline? At present, LLC Allect has been liquidated. The same fate befell the legal company "N. N. Securities ", co-founded by Alexey Anatolyevich and his friends in law school. Since 2001, LLC "Euroasian transport systems", in the creation of which Navalny participated, provides logistic and transport services. The company also self-destructed. In 2009, he became a lawyer, passing the exam in the city of Kirov, and even conducted two trials. In the same period, the Navalny and Partners company did not last long. In 2012 he was promoted to a responsible post in Aeroflot by A. Lebedev, who owns the bank of the NRB. At the election, the protégé promised to wage an irreconcilable fight against corruption. A year later, Navalny Alexei Anatolyevich left this post, apparently, not on his own.

The beginning of a big policy

Showing great energy in business, Alexei Anatolyevich was engaged in active political activity. The fight against corruption is a win-win situation, it can be dealt with indefinitely, and it is very difficult to evaluate the effectiveness. "Committee for the Protection of Muscovites" since 2004 has carried out this difficult socially useful work. Since 2005, she has been caring for young people (the "Yes!" Movement) and leadership of the "Militia with the People" movement. Political career began in cooperation with the governor of the Kirov region N. Belykh (freelance adviser) and the Foundation for Support of his initiatives.

Then there was Yabloko (a member of the political council) and the post of head of the Moscow party organization. In 2007, Navalny Alexei Anatolyevich was scandalously expelled from the party for extreme nationalism. He himself explained this incident by his confrontation with Yavlinsky.

Nationalism

The national idea is almost as winning as the fight against corruption, especially when combined with democratic slogans. In Moscow from time to time there was one or another carefully orchestrated "Russian" march. Bulk could be seen on almost every one of them. However, by 2013, excessive scandalousness (the nagging young men and other hooligans created an unfavorable background), prompted the politician to temporarily withdraw from participation in mass nationalist activities. Criticism of the "Putin regime" became the main activity of the "People" movement, which, however, was not as numerous as its creators wanted. Navalny, whose photo had already been published by almost all media, tried to unite his organization to "Another Russia", but was rejected. Nevertheless, the image of an uncompromising fighter against corruption has already settled, at the elections of the capital's mayor, the opposition candidate went to "silver." But then suddenly the business of "Yves Rocher", which significantly impaired the heroic image, arose.

Brotherly help

Oleg Navalny, the brother of the oppositionist, worked as an automation specialist and the head of the internal affairs department at the "Post of Russia", and then decided to start his own business and left in 2013. It was he who could convince the representatives of the company "Yves Rocher" not to use more public service (and it obviously did not work in the best way), but to entrust their shipments to the private GPA company, actually owned by his brother. Price, of course, was higher, but reliability ... So, at least, asserted Oleg Navalny. And he won favor with foreigners. In fact, no one was going to carry letters, parcels or parcels. Receiving the goods for shipment, the Navalny brothers entrusted troublesome business to other transport enterprises, taking for services much less. For some time this simple scheme has functioned successfully, but all the secret sooner or later becomes apparent. Either the terms were not met, or something went missing, but the French suspected something was amiss. Then they filed complaints and rolled. In total, the Navalny brothers puffed up their customers for 24 million. The case came to court and received international publicity. Immediately, protests began in connection with the oppression of the opposition in Russia.

Punishment

The verdict of the court can not be called too strict. In Soviet times, they could easily have been shot for this, and even the faithful "ten" shone even into Gorbachev's rule, when almost everything was possible. Oleg Navalny received a real term of 3.5 years, and his brother - an anti-corruption oppositionist and champion of honesty - got off with a suspended sentence. The court, apparently, took into account his merits in the fight against theft. Another podelnikam have to pay 4 800 000 rubles fine. We must understand, for such a small thing it will not happen.

Reaction to business

Of course, the liberal public is still trying to convince the population of Russia that Navalny suffered for the struggle with the regime. The meeting followed the rally during the trial, then the activity decreased, but it did not reach the zero mark today. The image of the victim has always evoked mass sympathy in our country, besides, many statements of the disgraced politician evoke a lively response in the hearts of people. Indeed, not everything is in order in Russia with migration legislation, and other problems are lacking.

Who is guilty?

The Navalny case is exaggerated by pro-Western and liberal media, it is called fabricated, but participation in it of a defrauded foreign figurant significantly undermines the position of defenders of civil liberties.

There is nothing more sweet for the leader of the Russian opposition than a sense of sacrifice combined with disobedience. It was in this direction that Alexey Navalny expressed his emotions. A photo of a demonstratively cut electronic bracelet flew around the Internet in early 2014 after the conditional punishment came into force and the need for home arrest disappeared. This device is really removed for some reason in time did not have time - and here it is, the reason for protest. The reactions of the "satraps", however, did not follow.

Another reason will appear on the television screen was the murder of Boris Nemtsov. Many leaders of the "movement of dissent" reacted to this tragic event, including K. Sobchak and A. Navalny. The meeting, planned the next day, actually became a failure. The oppositionist habitually places the blame for Nemtsov's death on Putin.

He himself believes that managing the country will be much more successful after winning the next presidential election.
