Mushrooms psilocybinovye: varieties, distribution, collection time

Fungi psilocybin are a common name for macromycetes, in the fruit bodies of which psychedelic substance psilocybin and other hallucinogens are contained. Their use in food affects the mind and causes a cycle of certain experiences, which are called trip. Since ancient times people have used psilocybin fungi as entheogens in various religious rites. However, their use can seriously undermine health, lead to mental disorders and others to negative consequences.

Types of psilocybin fungi

There are many species of fungi containing psilocybin. A significant part of them grow in tropical latitudes, and Asian and American varieties are poorly studied. Almost every continent of the planet can be found psilocybin fungi. The harvest season is the end of August and the middle of January. Several of their varieties are described below.

Psilocybe semilanceata

This variety is widespread in the temperate zone. These fungi grow both singly and in groups (10-20 copies). They can be found in grass meadows, in wastelands, pastures for cattle, on roadsides, in park areas. On cultivated fields, psilocybe is not found. They are symbiotic with certain herbs.

Panaeolus cyanescens

This variety can be found in the warm belts of both hemispheres. These mushrooms with bell-shaped hat, miniature, dense and thin, like paper. Often grow on cow dung. In Bali, they are used during the holidays.

Panaeolus subbalteatus

These fungi are found throughout Eurasia, as well as in North America. They often grow on pastures of cattle, which are constantly surrendered with manure. In young specimens, the plates are red-brown in color, and in old mushrooms they turn black.

Conocybe tenera

This fungus can be found on the fringes of forests, in the grass, in forest-park areas. It can grow absent-mindedly (single specimens) or in groups. The cap is bell-shaped with the transition into a wide-conical form. Plates are tawny, medium frequency.

Action on the body

Fungi psilocybin act on humans like LSD. Psilocybin provokes a psychomimetic syndrome, the manifestations of which are similar to schizophrenia. If you take psilocybin mushrooms on an empty stomach, the effect manifests itself after 20 minutes. At first the person experiences euphoria, however soon there is a tremor, anxiety, delirium. The auditory and visual susceptibility is increased, the light perception is violated, space and time are compressed. Then there are all sorts of hallucinations and visions, often frightening. There is no sense of time and space. A person can observe from the side behind his body, etc. The trip of each person has its own unique, unique features, but not always it is positive and pleasant. Often there is a negative trip (paranoia, fear, shocking visions), especially with severe overwork and in unbalanced people. Fungi psilocybin are destructively acting on the body, and for individuals with unstable psyche and suicidal tendencies, their use poses a mortal danger!
