Master-classes: how to draw a cartoon

Everyone in the world loves cartoons. Even adults, although they hide it sometimes. But how to draw a cartoon, they know not all. In this article, some variants of the image of the heroes of your favorite children's series will be considered.

Copy a picture through the glass

The simplest version of the image of the character you like is copying. And since it was possible to draw a cartoon before the advent of printers and photocopiers, it is worth devoting young artists to it.

It is very easy to transfer the outline of the pattern if you first put a sheet of the sample on the glass, and clean paper on top of it. The glass should be illuminated from the inside. Then on the sheet, where you plan to portray your favorite hero, you will see the picture being copied. Often, for these purposes, use a normal window in the daytime or a glass door to a lighted room.

Copying with a mesh

Sometimes you can not use this option. For example, the picture is in a book where a picture is also printed on the other side of the page. Then you can not translate the outline. But how to draw a cartoon in this case?

An interesting way of copying with a mesh will be a good way out of the situation. It will help to increase or decrease the scale of the picture. And since it is sometimes necessary to draw a cartoon not only on paper, but, for example, on a plate or casket, in this case it is difficult to come up with a more convenient method.

You can sample the sample with cells, using a ruler and a pencil. However, then the picture can be spoiled. Therefore, it is recommended to make an overlay mesh on a transparent material: cellophane or polyethylene.

The place where the artist wants to transfer the image of his beloved multgeroy should also be caged. If the sizes of the squares from the sample are smaller than here, then the figure will be larger. Conversely, if the ratio of the ratio of the sizes is less than 1, the picture will decrease.

Each cell is redrawn separately, carefully making sure that all the lines are exactly in their places. The more carefully the master works, the more similar to the original he will be able to achieve.

Master class for kids

And how little people like to draw favorite characters! But the trouble is: they do not know how to draw cartoons ... For beginners, you can offer simple master classes, thanks to which they will easily cope with this task.

  • For example, to start drawing a nice monkey marmoset you need a circle.
  • The oval, stretched horizontally and slightly wider than the circle, will represent the lower part of the face. These two figures overlap each other.
  • Everything that is inside is removed by an eraser.
  • Inside the second circuit is carried out, which almost repeats the outer one. The exception is the upper frontal part. It has the form of two connecting arcs.
  • The eyes are represented by two concentric circles - one in the other. And the inner one has a black color. It is recommended to draw (or leave unpainted) inside the pupil a tiny white circle - a glare from the light.
  • The ears also have a circle shape.
  • A smile is drawn with an arc in the lower part of the face.
  • The muzzle and the inner part of the ears are painted with a light brown color.
  • Everything else should be dark brown.
