If you get a waffle iron, it's time to use it, especially since there are many recipes for preparing this delicacy - wafers are not only sweet, but also salty and fresh. However, before you start cooking, it's worth taking note of some tricks:

  • Any dough for a waffle iron is made from products that must be at room temperature, so all the ingredients should be extracted from the refrigerator in advance so that they can keep warm.
  • Margarine or butter before you "include" in the dough, should be softened. Of course, margarine is not bad in its way, is affordable, and its grades are of high quality, specially designed for baking. But to make the dough for the waffle maker really tasty, it is better to include a natural cream butter.
  • Before you start the baking, the capacity of the waffle iron in which the dough is poured is usually greased with vegetable oil or fat. Oil is preferable, because He does not have a "greasy" smell. However, more precisely this should be indicated in the instructions to the device.
  • If a glass is indicated as one of the measures of the products in the wafer batter, then its volume is 250 ml. Or 200 grams.

Attention, recipes!

Let's try to cook Belgian waffles. In shape, these are not the usual tubes, and the squares that look like cookies (such are the shapes of the waffle iron). They are very tasty, crunchy, airy.

So, in this dough for the waffle iron, we use 3 eggs (of course, chicken, as the other "birds" do not go for dessert baking), 250 grams of wheat flour of the highest grade, 125 grams of butter (butter) or margarine for baking. We also need vanillin (1-2 bags), a glass of milk, 125 milliliters of mineral water without gas, a little salt (it shades sugar). To make the dough turned aerial, it is better to use a baking powder - the fourth part of a teaspoon. Now - in stages:

  • We separate the proteins from the yolks. Proteins carefully whisked (for splendor you can add a pinch of salt);
  • Yolks, vanillin, salt, butter, sugar are mixed in the container. All should also be whipped until the sugar dissolves (you can try - so as not to crunch on your teeth);
  • Sift flour, mix baking powder into it, add milk, oil-yolk mixture, then proteins and mineral water. All thoroughly mix;
  • Biscuits are baked in a waffle iron for thick wafers. The forms are lubricated with oil, poured in portions of dough, the lid is closed, the product is baked in the time specified in the instructions to the device;
  • Ready-made wafers can be sprinkled with powdered sugar, cinnamon or simply greased with condensed milk. And ... enjoy licking your fingers with pleasure!

Another recipe - we learn how to make a dough for tubes in the waffle iron. Naturally, in this case, the wafer should be thin. Ingredients are almost the same: 4 eggs, three quarters of a glass of sugar and two glasses of flour. Starch needs a lot - 2 teaspoons and even a few with a slide. One third of a packet of margarine or butter, a glass of milk, a bag of baking powder for dough and a little salt - to taste.

  • Margarine (butter) pre-melt;
  • Sugar and eggs beat up, add margarine (butter) to the mixture, add starch, baking powder and salt;
  • All together again a good shake, then pour in the flour and knead the dough;
  • In the received mass on the sly to pour in milk - the trickle should be thin that lumps were not formed. Do this by diligently mixing everything;
  • Heat the waffle iron and oil it;
  • Dough pour a tablespoon into the middle of the mold, press the halves of the waffle iron and bake until ready;

  • And take out the wafer and immediately roll it with a tube or a small bag;
  • When the wafers are cooled, they fill with filling. It can be a custard or oil cream, a cream based on boiled condensed milk with nuts, whipped cream with sugar, fruit and berry jam, etc. Another option is to fill such tubes with homemade or loose-weight shop ice cream. Decorate the filler with grated chocolate, nut crumbs, coconut shavings. Any option will be very, very delicious!
