However, it is possible to make different jam from raspberries, including without heat treatment.

Method number 1 - how to cook jam from raspberries

Necessary ingredients:

  • Freshly picked raspberries - 5 kg;
  • Granulated sugar - 6 kg.

Cooking process

Before you make a jam of raspberries for the winter, you need to collect the necessary amount of this useful berries. In this case, it is worth paying special attention to its maturity, as hard specimens will make the dessert more acidic. After the raspberries are collected in an amount of 5 kilograms, it needs to be immediately sorted out. If you do not do this within a few hours, then it will start giving out the juice and cleaning it will be much more difficult.

Jam from raspberries for the winter is recommended to be made only from fresh berries, since the stale product, which is more than two days old, starts to turn sour.

After the raspberry is completely cleared of debris and midges, it is required to put it in a large enameled basin. To wash such a berry for dessert is by no means possible, because it will completely lose its juice, which will make the jam tasteless. Next to raspberries it is required to pour in 6 kilograms of granulated sugar, mix both products thoroughly and leave aside for 30-120 minutes. During this time, the berry will give its juice, and it will be much easier to cook on the stove.

Jam from raspberries for the winter requires not very long heat treatment. To do this, you only need to wait for the boiling of the sweet ingredients, and then boil them for 5-10 minutes. In this case, products are often required to interfere with a large spoon. If you do not, then, most likely, the jam will just burn. After the required time, dessert should be carefully poured over sterilized jars, which should then be rolled up, turned over and placed exactly for a day under a dense fabric. Such jam can be stored in a cool place (cellar, cellar) for up to one year.

Method number 2 - how to make jam from raspberries without cooking

Necessary ingredients:

  • Freshly picked raspberries - 5 kg;
  • Granulated sugar - 5 kg.

To make such a vitamin dessert, it is necessary to collect 5 kilograms of ripe red raspberries, to clear it of debris and pedicles, and then put together with granulated sugar in a large basin. After this, it is recommended to wait a few minutes until the berries begin to give their juice. Next, you need to take a stupa and knead raspberries in it. For grinding berries you can use a blender.

When the granulated sugar completely melts, and the berries form a homogeneous mixture, they must be immediately distributed into small jars. On top of the jam it is desirable to fall asleep with a couple of spoons of sugar, but so that it remains in the form of a white hat. Then the containers with dessert should be covered with glass or polyethylene lids. Keep this jam recommended no more than 3-5 months exclusively in the refrigerator.
