Pokrovsky-Tatianinsky Cathedral: description and photo

In Chuvashia there are not so many spiritual places where one can turn to God with gratitude or a request. The Pokrovsky-Tatianinsky Cathedral in Cheboksary is one of them. He is very young, but already loved and in demand by parishioners.

Pokrovsko-Tatianinsky Cathedral (Cheboksary): description

Construction began in 2001. All works were carried out at the expense of sponsors' contributions of all comers. The church was erected for 5 years. In 2006, the Pokrovsko-Tatianinsky Cathedral (Cheboksary) was consecrated and opened its doors, a photo of which can be seen below.

The temple has 12 domes. They rise above the buildings of the North-West district of the city. The facade is painted blue and symbolizes purity of thoughts and closeness to the heavens. The entrance is decorated with colonnades in the shape of the letter "c". This architectural move involves the invitation of everyone who wants to enter the cathedral.

The complex consists of several buildings:

• The church-baptistery;
• The chapel;
• Administration;
• Sunday School;
• Library.

The facilities occupy more than 1000 m ^{2 of} territory. It is fenced and kept in perfect order. Here work and serve more than 50 people.

Shrines and relics

The Pokrovsky-Tatianinsky Cathedral has many valuable spiritual icons and things. The icon of the holy martyr Tatiana with a small part of the relics is a symbol of the temple. Also in the cathedral there are some more ancient icons and shrines.

Before any of these relics, any visitor to the temple can bow. They usually pray and ask for health to the whole family. For several years, not one human soul has found humility here.

Many parishioners ask for the health of their loved ones. There have already been recorded cases of healing the prayer of seriously ill people. The gates of the temple are open every day for those who want to touch the spiritual world. With the help of prayer, mental suffering can be greatly alleviated.

Education

The Pokrovsko-Tatianinsky cathedral conducts active educational and charitable activities. During it, the Sunday school "Blagovest" opened and operates. Here, children not only study the Law of God, but also learn respect for the elders.

A volunteer detachment of local students is actively working at the temple, which helps socially unprotected people and children left without parental care. Students spend with the children in the Rehabilitation Center all kinds of cognitive and developmental activities.

Also, the children help in the daily work of the temple. On Saturdays, lessons are taught on the gospel in the territory of the cathedral. On the basis of the temple the youth club "Omofor" started its work. Many students and high school students come here.

The guys from the community meet with different priests and attend spiritual conferences. In their spare time they watch movies on Orthodoxy and organize educational events and competitions, which literally revive the Intercession-Tatianinsky Cathedral. For several years of work the temple has established contacts with many city social organizations and is ready to help all those in need.

Children from Sunday school often have the opportunity to go on various excursions and walks around the city. After classes, the child can jump or run on the playground.
