Pigmentation of the affected area is accompanied by pigmentary basal cell. Scleroderm-like pathology is similar to a dense whitish plaque, which has foci on the periphery.

Basal cell arises because of frequent and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. The cause of the pathology may be the effect on the body of benzene, coal or tobacco tar, arsenic, toluene or ionizing radiation. The development of the disease can trigger a genetic predisposition.

Treatment

In the case when the tumor is small, surgical removal of the basal cell is performed. Feedback from experts recommend this method as the most effective in the early stages of development of pathology. However, it is used when the neoplasm is located only on the trunk or on the legs.
