Levitan's painting "Spring. Great water »: description and composition

After the winter comes the long-awaited spring. She inspires many artists to create masterpieces. Devoted to this time of the year and the picture of Levitan "Spring. Great water. "

About the artist

Isaak Ilich Levitan was born in Lithuania, in the town of Kybarty, in 1861, on August 18. When the boy was 14 years old, he lost his mother. At this time, his father fell seriously ill, so it was difficult for him to support his four children. The family began to experience poverty. The financial situation deteriorated even more after the death of his father, who passed away in 1877.

Then Isaak Levitan studied in the 4-th class of the painter Vasily Perov. In March 1877, two works by a young artist were presented at the exhibition, for which he received a prize of 220 rubles and a small silver medal.

Though the young man was talented, he worked hard. This gave results. Selling the picture "Evening after the rain", Isaac took a room to earn money, where he lived and worked.

In 1885, the artist graduated from the profile school, but he was not given a diploma for national reasons. Once again, he reminded himself of a difficult financial situation, so for a while Levitan was forced to live in a remote village.

Difficult childhood led to heart disease. Treatment in the Crimea helped to improve health, but the artist died early - at the age of 39 years.

Traveling across Russia and beyond, he noticed the uniqueness of the nature of this or that corner, based on this, created his famous canvases. Thus appeared the picture of Levitan "Spring. Great water. "

What is depicted on the canvas?

Just look at the canvas to see - the artist captured the spring day. The snow has come down, the ice on the river has melted, now there is a lot of water in it. She left the banks, flooded part of the trees growing in the neighborhood. But not only them: in the background we see two houses, their lower part is covered with water. The buildings that rise on the hill remain unscathed. Of course, in such places it is necessary to build houses there, since every spring there is a possibility that the water will flood small buildings. Such thoughts are evoked by Levitan's painting "Spring. Great water. "

Slender birches try to resist the natural elements, but they manage to do it with difficulty. You can see how their trunks are bent. After all, it is not easy to grow, when after winter the roots and the lower part of the trees turn out to be in the water. So they could bend and in the struggle for light, competing with a large tree that grows next door.

Birch, located on the shore, more comfortable conditions, so their mill is almost straight. All this is conveyed by Levitan's painting "Spring. Great water. "

Paints

Creative work is done in very good tones. The blue of the sky is shaded by the river, it is almost the same color, because in its waters the sky reflects.

Perfectly blends with the blue coloration of the golden crown of trees. It is quite rare, because it is the lonely leaves that have remained since last year, hiding in the trees. But they are enough to fill the canvas with sunlight. And he - everywhere, not only on birches, located in front, but also in remote trees. The magnificence of this idea gives out not only yellow, but orange colors. They also filled the picture of Levitan "Spring. Great water. "

The crowns of the trees are reflected in the water. There is no sun on canvas, but the canvas does not suffer from its absence. After all, the near shore also consists of orange-yellow tones. This is the picture of Levitan "Spring. Great water. " The description can be completed in details. Looking closer to the left background, you notice that there is also a riot of sunny colors, which sometimes do not have enough spring nature. Even the bottom of the boat is made in such tones.

Levitan's painting "Spring. Great water »: composition

If a student is asked to write an essay on this picture, he can draw up his plan or take advantage of the proposed. You can start the work with the fact that the canvas of the great artist I.I. Levitan was established in 1897. Next, tell what time of the year and what exactly captured the picture of Levitan "Spring. Great water. " The description presented above will help in this. After that, you can give your vision of the plot.

Since there is a boat near the shore, it will be correct to assume that on it a man from the village moved to the other shore. If such a flood, the road could flood, so the only remaining way is water.

You can finish the composition by writing that Levitan's painting "Spring. Big water "(the photo of which is attached) is attractive, harmonious and evokes a positive mood for the viewer.
