Sarcoma: Symptoms and Species
The disease develops almost asymptomatically, it is very difficult to distinguish its manifestations from the clinical picture of other ailments, not even a tumor character. The sarcomas are classified according to the type of affected tissue:
- Soft tissue sarcoma;
- Sarcoma of bones;
- Complex types of sarcoma that can not be classified, for example, Kaposi's sarcoma.
Each of the above types of disease, in turn, is subdivided into subspecies.
Soft tissue sarcoma:
- Rhabdomyosarcoma;
- Liposarcoma;
- Angiosarcoma;
- Neurogenic;
- Myogenic;
- Synovial sarcoma.
The behavior of the disease largely depends on the location of its localization. For example, sarcoma of lung symptoms is as follows:
- pleurisy;
- dyspnea;
- dysphagia;
- Joint pain;
- Poorly treatable pneumonia;
- Thickening of limb bones.
If we talk about the common signs of this disease, then among them we can especially distinguish:
- Infiltrative spots and seals of different locations (most often on the limbs);
- Deformation of various parts of the body, depending on the degree and localization of the disease;
- Pain in the tissues affected by the tumor.
Bony sarcoma: symptoms and types
Types of sarcoma of bones:
- Osteosarcoma;
- Fibrosarcoma;
- Chondrosarcoma;
- Circlet cell sarcoma;
- Ewing's sarcoma.
A vivid example of a clinical picture of sarcoma of bones can serve as a sarcoma of the spine, the symptoms of which differ little from those of other malignant tumors: local pain sensations, rapid growth of education, limitation of mobility, neurological disorders. Despite the fact that this disease affects the most diverse parts of the skeleton, there are a number of common signs that allow doctors to assume that the patient has a sarcoma.
- Pain in the site of localization, which is often mistaken for the consequence of mechanical trauma;
- Increase in the temperature of the skin in the place of injury;
- Soreness, which occurs when the palpation of the node;
- Some enlargement and expansion of veins in the infiltration area;
- General weakness and malaise caused by sleep disturbance due to persistent pain;
- Swelling of the integument;
- Frequent fractures.
Kaposi's sarcoma and its symptoms
Disease of a complex type is often the result of exposure to the body of HIV infection and the herpes virus.
Symptoms of Kaposi's sarcoma:
- Tingling and mild itching in affected areas;
- Tumor formation covering the back surface of the feet and soles (smooth or rough round spots of violet color);
- Damage to the skin of hands and face;
- Internal bleeding (in the case when internal organs suffer from the disease).
