In what cases is a fever without fever

Chills without fever is a fairly common symptom of some diseases. Of course, more often it is accompanied by an increase in body temperature and the appearance of muscle tremors and spasms.

A constant chill can be a reaction of the human body to enhanced thermogenesis. In addition to raising the temperature, tremors and spasms, it is characterized by pallor of the skin, the formation of "goose skin", a feeling of cold, no sweating, etc.

It should be noted that the chill without a temperature is a consequence of prolonged hypothermia of the body or occurs with an acute febrile reaction to any processes (infectious, autoimmune, allergic, and others). The most frequent and well-known causes of the febrile state of a person are malaria, sepsis, inflammatory processes in the organs with the formation of pus, the acute phase of lupus erythematosus, etc.

The main causes of chills can be mechanical injuries of the body, vegetative-vascular dystonia, neurotic diseases, hypertension or high blood pressure, infections and viruses, hypothermia, fever and others. Also, very often a constant sensation of cold occurs when the thyroid gland and the endocrine system are disturbed. This is due to the fact that the thyroid gland is able to secrete a certain group of hormones that participate in the process of thermoregulation of the human body. Accordingly, that with decreasing this function, the patient has this symptom.

The presence of infectious diseases also causes chills in humans. In this case, the penetration of a harmful virus produces special substances. The organism also begins to release pyrogens, which are capable of destroying the virus on their own. But at the same time there is an increase in the temperature of the blood and, as a consequence, the whole body. In the process of equalizing these indicators, a person feels shivering and chills.

The appearance of shivering, which is characterized by chills without temperature, is associated with a sharp narrowing of the walls of the blood vessels of the skin, as a result of which the blood flow slows down significantly. This is what causes chilliness and stops sweating. It should be noted that in addition to tremors, there may be noise in the ears, nausea and chills all over the body.

Very often chills without fever or cognition is a symptom of nervous overexcitation or occurs with a strong fright. In this case, it performs the function of protecting the body from the effects of the external environment. Therefore, with diseases of the nervous system, such phenomena can occur quite often.
To get rid of unpleasant symptoms, it is advisable to start treatment on time. As a rule, at elevated temperature, it is necessary to give the victim an antipyretic agent, in no case should it be subjected to its cooling procedures, which can aggravate the situation.

Of course, with chills it is advisable to consume a large amount of liquid (mostly acidic) and ensure peace of mind. The most optimal option is a variety of broths of herbs, berry juice, a solution of lemon juice or acid. If there is no heat, then you can take a hot bath and drink herbal tea with honey or raspberry jam. After the procedure, ensure warmth (woolen socks, blanket).

To remove harmful substances from the body, brew leaves of cranberries, since this agent has a diuretic effect. Do not drink alcoholic beverages that promote vasodilation and increase blood pressure. As a rule, after that, the general well-being of the patient worsens, there is weakness in the muscles and dizziness.
