Ivanovo Musical Theater: history, repertoire, troupe

History of the theater

The Ivanovo Musical Theater is located in the center of the city, on Pushkin Square. It was built in 1940. The author of the building project was the chief architect of Moscow Alexander Vlasov. He was selected by the competition.

In 1986 the theater was reorganized. Its name and status have changed. From the theater of musical comedy he turned into a musical. In his troupe a new generation of remarkable artists has appeared.
