Radu Poklitaru: biography, personal life, photo

Man art, choreographer, strictest choreographer and the most popular director in the territory of the CIS and Europe - as soon as they do not call Radu Poklitaru. Having devoted his whole life to creativity, this person works for the audience and constantly pleases connoisseurs with incredible performances and bright shows.

However, many years passed on the way to glory, until the whole world learned about this choreographer. Little is known and still about Radu Poklitaru. Biography, personal life and many other facts remain "behind the scenes", which only fuels the interest of journalists.

Years of preparation on the way to glory

Radu Poklitaru was born on March 22, 1972 in the city of Chisinau. His parents - Lyudmila Nedremskaya and Vitaliy Poklitaru - at that time served for the benefit of the Moldavian academic theater and in advance determined the future of the younger son.

I went to the "ballet stops" and little Radu: at the age of four the child was given to the dance studio in Chisinau. Unlike his older brother, who completely refused the ballet, Radu liked the prospect of dancing.

Working hard on himself, the second time in 1983 he was able to enter the Academic Choreography School in Moscow. After studying in 1984 in the Odessa Ballet School, and a year later - in the Chisinau Musical College.

Learning was given to him not always easily - failure and trauma were his companions. Tense studies and training also led to health problems.

On this the training of the future choreographer did not end - since 1986 Radu studied at the Perm State Choreographic School, and at the age of 14 began to take an active part in the life of the Bolshoi Theater. Until 1999, he was able to achieve success and was a promising soloist and choreographer of the theater, where he most often played negative characters.

After studying at the Belarusian Academy of Music (1994 - 1999) he received not only diplomas in the specialties "choreographer", "teacher of choreography" and "art critic", but also gained enough experience to represent his performances to the world.

First productions

Working as an entertainer in the theater, Radu Poklitaru already from 1991 presented the audience with wonderful performances. Then for the first time the audience could appreciate the talent of the choreographer thanks to the performance "The Fairy's Kiss".

In 1996, a miniature performance was presented under the leadership of Radu "Point of intersection". In 1999, his production "The world does not end at the door of the house" (music by G. Mahler and J. Depres) collected many positive reviews from critics.

The last permanent haven of the choreographer at that time was the National Opera of Moldova, where he was the chief choreographer. However, he worked there for a long time and already in 2001 left the post because of changes in the country's policy. But despite the turmoil, Radu continued his work as a "free artist" and began to stage various productions in Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and Latvia, and later in other European countries.

The first works of Radu were connected with the "classical" ballet. Thanks to serious preparation and many years of training it was rather difficult to create something that went beyond the boundaries of traditional productions. However, after success at the competition in Italy, the choreographer realized that he is capable of modern and live projects.

Thanks to many years of experience and perseverance, his productions become "breakthroughs" in the sphere of dance. A lot of studios invite him, and artists dream to work under his guidance. In 2002, in Odessa, he puts "Carmen", "Pictures from an Exhibition", "A Sacred Spring".

Other his sensational and shocking performances also liked the audience: "In pivo veritas" (2003), "Bolero" and "Waltz" (2003), "Othello's Birthday" (2004).

Radu cooperation with director Declan Donnellan was fruitful. Their joint work "Romeo and Juliet" and "Chamber No. 6" gathered in Moscow many enthusiastic spectators who appreciated the authors' innovation. Since then, the choreographer Radu Poklitaru - a welcome guest in theaters in Europe.

"Kiev modern-ballet"

In 2006, Radu got the opportunity to create his own theater in Ukraine. Then with funding helped by philanthropist Vladimir Filippov. After long castings and trials, 16 people were selected - the future stars of the author's theater. Despite the fact that Radu Poklitaru was educated for many years in the best educational institutions, the presence of a diploma was not obligatory for his subordinates. In the end it was revealed that none of the members of the troupe had a "crust".

Since October 2006, "Kiev Modern Ballet" began its activities, and in the same year, Radu introduced the audience to the production of "Carmen. TV ". The performance deserved the "Best Performance of the Year" award, and the choreographer also received the award.

Although the master is quite demanding of his charges, artists like to work with their mentor. Rehearsals are often so interesting and active that the choreographer is often called one of the most shocking and scandalous, although he himself does not think so.

Until 2008 the theater toured with this production throughout Ukraine, and after the updated "Carmen. TV "" Kiev modern-ballet "began to represent all over the world. At the end of the year in Ukraine, Radu has already received the award "Kyiv Pectoral". Representation was liked by spectators and critics of many countries, but the choreographer continued to work hard on the repertoire and productions.

In 2014, Radu Poklitar worked as a choreographer at the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games in Sochi. Then his work was highly appreciated by viewers from all over the world.

TV career

Having achieved great successes of his productions, Radu Poklitaru was invited by one of the judges of the project "Everybody Dance!" In Ukraine. There he earned the fame of a demanding expert and was able to please viewers with his performances with the participants.

In 2015, Radu became one of the judges of the dance project "Dance!" In Russia, where he also showed his professionalism.

Today many dancers and theaters want to work with Radu Poklitar. The biography of this man, his creative successes and professionalism inspire confidence and cause respect.

Personal life

With journalists, the choreographer communicates mainly about his work. According to Radu Poklitar, personal life should remain personal, and he ignores questions on this topic.

In 2011, the media attributed to him an affair with Ukrainian singer Natalia Mogilevskaya. Before that, the choreographer was married.

Parents and relatives remained in Belarus. Radu Poklitaru, whose photo is adorned with posters all over Ukraine, is not going to change his citizenship - he is completely satisfied with the permanent residence.
