How to prepare salad "Haystack"? Selection of recipes

In our fast time, women have no time to stand in the kitchen and cook various delicacies. But there is a way out. Especially for busy housewives cooks come up with a lot of interesting, fast, and most importantly, delicious recipes. One such is the "Haystack" salad, which is done literally in a matter of minutes, and the most pleasant is from simple useful components.

What is unique about this cold snack? First of all, the fact that it contains not boiled potatoes, but fries (roasted). Only rub it on a fine grater, so that after the frying it resembles dried hay, from here you understand, the name of the salad has appeared. And how pleasantly this vegetable then crunches and leaves an unforgettable aftertaste, especially in combination with fresh tomatoes and lean chicken breast!

By the way, the ingredients can be changed, for example, instead of meat use mushrooms, and replace tomatoes with fresh cucumbers. As you like! Surely you already "drooled". We will not torment any more and will start preparing a light, juicy and low-calorie dish. Let's describe several options.

Salad "Rick of hay": the recipe is the first. Components

The mandatory ingredients are:

  • Two breasts;
  • Any cheese (100 g);
  • Fresh tomato (large);
  • Two medium carrots;
  • 2 eggs;
  • Two potatoes (raw);
  • Several cloves of garlic;
  • mayonnaise;
  • vegetable oil.

Cooking method

Prepare to start with the top layer - potatoes and carrots, because they take time. To begin with, they will be cleansed, washed and grated on a grater, on which Korean carrots are made. We should have thin strips.

They should be kept for a while in slightly salted cold water. In deep dishes, preferably cauldron, pour oil (two fingers), heated and lowered vegetable strips. Cook until brown, leave on a paper towel to cool.

The tomato is covered with boiling water, peeled and cut into thin slices or semirings. Boiled breast we tear our hands on the fibers, cheese rubbed. Finely chop the eggs. Mayonnaise is mixed with chopped garlic. If desired, you can add cilantro for piquancy and color.

All products are ready. Now we proceed to the most important step - the formation of a puffed salad "Haystack". In a dish we put chicken meat, then eggs, tomatoes, grated cheese - each layer is covered with mayonnaise and garlic dressing. We spread the fried carrots and potatoes from the top and set them for impregnation in the refrigerator for an hour.

Option two. Ingredients

List of products for snacks "Haystack":

  • Two fresh cucumbers and as many tomatoes;
  • Two potatoes;
  • Fillet of chicken boiled (200 g);
  • Mayonnaise is light.

For decoration, you need pomegranate seeds, a little prunes and a sprig of dill.

Cooking process

We make French fries. Boil the meat, cut into strips. Similarly we do with tomatoes and cucumbers (do not forget to remove the peel from tomatoes). Lay the layers of salad "Haystack": cucumber, chicken, tomatoes, French fries. Do not forget to pour mayonnaise and decorate. An excellent dish to the festive table!

Option three: vitamin salad

Finally, imagine a dietary snack from greenery, which is enthusiastically eaten in the summer. In some restaurants it can be found in the menu called "Hay". This dish will require a whole list of ingredients:

  • Leaflets of young beets (2-3 pcs.);
  • Chinese salad (several pcs.);
  • Small cucumbers (5-6 pieces);
  • Cherry tomatoes (five pcs.);
  • basil;
  • Potatoes (2 pcs.);
  • Bulgarian pepper;
  • Balsamic vinegar;
  • olive oil;
  • Half a dessert spoon of granulated sugar;
  • black pepper;
  • salt.

Cut tomatoes into two halves, cut cucumbers and pepper into strips. The leaves of salads pick up. Fry the potato sticks. Add the sauce, which is prepared as follows: combine the vinegar with sugar, basil, olive oil and spices. Decorate the top of the appetizer with fried potatoes. In the "Haystack" salad, some add ground walnuts and raisins.
