The only nuance here is the fact that the roses themselves must dry completely, and only then they can be laid on a flat surface. They can be stored for several months in a sealed container. Flowers for cake from mastic

Ingredients: eight hundred grams of powdered sugar, twenty grams of gelatin, sixty grams of cold water, one hundred and seventy grams of corn or invert syrup, one spoon of food glycerin (available at the pharmacy), food color.

Inventory: dishes with water, brush, scissors.

Before making roses from mastic, it is necessary to pre-soak gelatin in cold water and dissolve it in a microwave or water bath. Further sugar utensils are sifted into the dishes, part of it is separately mixed with syrup, glycerin and gelatin, if desired, flavor is added. Then, to this mass, the remaining powdered sugar is added portionwise and kneaded as a dough. In this case, the mastic should not stick to the hands. With the help of dyes, it is dyed in various colors. The prepared mass is covered with a towel for a while, so that it does not dry out.

First it is necessary to sprinkle the working surface with powdered sugar. To form a flower, you need to prepare five or six petals. They mold them separately. To do this, remove the mastic from the mastic by a piece the size of a hazelnut, roll it into a ball and press it with your fingers so that a cake turns out, the edges of which will need to be made a little thinner. In this case, the thinner the edges of the cake, the more tender the flower will turn out. The diameter of the petal should be about five centimeters. First of all, a core is formed from the finished mastic. To do this, insert a toothpick into the ball formed from it. From a small piece of mastic make a thin petal so that its tip was pointed and flattened. There are many such petals (up to forty). Using a teaspoon, they are rounded, pressing the tool in the middle, and then pressing on the edges so that they become thinner than the rest.
