How does the lie affect our brain and body?

All of us from childhood know these sayings: "You will not lie, you will not live", "He is lying and does not blush", "Liars do not believe in the truth". Also, many of us are sure that an out-and-out lieutenant can be identified by a long nose. We know that it's bad to lie, but we still do it. Sometimes with a liar there is a different reaction, and they begin to behave more aggressively, believing that those around them forced them to act dishonestly.
