Louis de Funes is a French actor who won the love of spectators at an age in which many of his colleagues are already going to "retire". A short man, who has not so much beauty, as much as an inexplicable charm, has achieved fame for many years. His early roles were mostly inconspicuous, of an episodic nature. While all the films of Louis de Funes, in which he starred, having already crossed the threshold of the 40th anniversary, I want to review again and again. Why not remember the best of them?

Comedy with Louis de Funes: 50s

The film debut of the French comedian took place in 1946, when he appeared in the episode of the painting "Six Lost Hours". However, the first notable role was given to him only in the next decade. "The bedroom for high school students", which was published in 1953, was not the achievement thanks to which all the films of Louis de Funes began to be eagerly awaited by the audience. But the role of a crazy photographer, unable to subordinate even a door lock, first drew the attention of filmmakers to the actor's talent.

"Dad, Mom, Maid and I" is a comedy in which the Frenchman plays in 1954, having already celebrated his 40th birthday. Every appearance of his character on the screen makes the audience literally "choke" with laughter. Gradually, the actor gets the reputation of a person who can even make a sad drama a comedy story, almost all the films of Louis de Funes confirm this. To consolidate success to him helps a funny role in the film "Baby at the house", published in 1956, where he becomes a cheerful social agent who succeeded in his work.

Starring roles

"The Gendarme of Saint-Tropez" is a tape, thanks to which the comedian declared his existence to the whole world. In this comedy, he got the role of gendarme Kriusho, ready in any situation to stand on the side of justice, regardless of whether they ask him about it, the father of a charming daughter. All the films of Louis de Funes, devoted to Cruchet's misadventures, are six incredibly funny stories.

It is necessary to see the last part submitted to the public in 1982. The character played by the French comedian is forced to release the gendarmerie girls from captivity. Of course, he endlessly gets into piquant situations, forcing the audience to laugh.

In 1964, the actor gladly agrees to appear in the film "Fantomas". Louis de Funes is trying on himself the image of Commissioner Juve, chasing a cunning criminal with a sonorous nickname. His villain earned the nickname thanks to the habit of using different masks at the time of committing crimes. Traditionally, the commissioner, played by a Frenchman, amuses the public with his awkwardness, the ability to prove himself in ridiculous situations. "Fantômas" is a trilogy. The last part was filmed in 1967.

Other interesting movies

The above pictures are not all the achievements of a brilliant comedian. The positive comedy Razinja deserves to be watched, and Louis de Funes appears before her in the role of gangster Leopold, who is trying to turn the simple-minded traveling salesman Antoine into a courier carrying drugs for him. Of course, the situation does not unfold in accordance with the plan of the treacherous Leopold.

Louis de Funes is able to play brilliantly not only an unprincipled gangster, but also a law-abiding director of an elite French restaurant. The character of the actor is notable for his exactingness, he exhausts the employees with petty quibbles. One terrible day, the restaurant kidnapped the president of a small southern state. Trying to restore the reputation of the institution, the director undertakes to search for the guilty.

There are other funny comedies with Louis de Funes. For example, it is worth paying attention to the tape "Big Vacations", where the comedian plays the role of a large father, forced to endlessly deal with the problems of his offspring.

What else to see

"Frozen" is an excellent humorous story in which the French person embodies the image of the manufacturer, Hubert, a calculating businessman managing the enterprise inherited by his wife from his father. His measured life turns over when suddenly the grandfather of the spouse, who was declared missing for decades, was suddenly announced. It turns out that he spent 65 years in an ice block, not getting old at all.

Louis de Funes left this world in 1983, having lived to 68 years, but remarkable comedies with his participation remained.
