Heating and cooking ovens for home
Heating and cooking ovens can be equipped with additional devices: an oven or a sunbed - a heated resting place.
The main material distinguishes the furnace: brick, cast iron, concrete, ceramic.
As fuel, wood, peat, coal, fuel briquettes are used. The most popular are wood-burning stoves, as this is the most inexpensive type of fuel.
Heating-cooking furnaces have the following elements:
- Firebox - part of the furnace, designed for fuel combustion;
- Chimneys - channels for the removal of gases formed during combustion;
- Chimney for the emission of smoke into the atmosphere.
If the oven is installed in a single-story house and weighs more than 1000 kg, then under it a foundation is necessarily arranged.
You can build heating-cooking stoves with your own hands. For this, the following materials and elements will be needed: red brick used in the construction of furnaces, refractory brick, doors, iron grates, hob, cast-iron latches and views, sand and clay. To make the furnace itself, you need to have the necessary knowledge and skills in the field of construction. Most often, brick furnaces are laid out on their own, but it is also possible to create metal structures. For the latter, you need a welding machine and electrodes.
The main requirements that must be met by heating and cooking ovens:
- Have sufficient life - up to 30 years;
- Meet the requirements of fire safety;
- Have small dimensions and attractive appearance;
- The furnace surface should not be heated above 90 0 ;
- Maintain the constant temperature of the heated room.
Despite some inconveniences in use, such as the need to monitor burning fuel and throw it, timely open and close flaps and pits, remove ash and soot, the choice of such a stove in the house is a choice in favor of comfort, comfort and economy.
