Early varieties of tomatoes and their cultivation

All varieties of tomatoes by the number of days of their ripening can be divided into three groups: early, or early (vegetation period lasts about 90 days), mid-ripening (110 - 120 days) and late (from 120 days). Naturally, the very period of maturation ultimately depends on climatic conditions in a certain latitude. To get a high yield of early tomatoes in the open area, you need to correctly apply all existing agrotechnical capabilities. To begin it is necessary with a choice of the most early ripening grade.

Search for the right variety

Among the most famous early varieties of tomatoes are "Kiev 139", "Morning" and "Dawn". Fruits of these species usually have a large round shape and are mainly used for processing or consumption in fresh form (not for pickles and rolling in banks for the winter period). Also, depending on climatic conditions, sometimes they grow "White Fill", "Eureka" or "Early 83" varieties.

Preparation

Initially, you need to select the right site: supernatural varieties of tomatoes should be planted only on a well protected from the wind terrain. The soil must be pre-treated with special fertilizers and well-heated. Also, do not forget about possible unforeseen frosts, in time to protect plants from the cold.

Correct placement of seedlings in open soil

Approximately the earliest varieties of tomatoes should be placed in the ground with no more than 60 shrubs per ten square meters. First, mineral fertilizers dissolve in irrigation water , make a hole for each individual plant and fill it with this special water in a volume of not more than one liter, and it is necessary to put a pot of seedlings in the hole before the soil absorbs all the water. This will help you to avoid drying out the seedlings in the future. Further, the plant is carefully covered with soil to the level of the first leaf, also it is necessary to follow the pot itself, namely, that its edge be covered with soil about three centimeters. Above the lower leaf you can fall asleep only in the event that your seedling has already slightly outgrown, while the plant is placed slightly obliquely. After the lapse of five days from the moment of planting, it is necessary to check for uneaten tomatoes and, if possible, to repeat the transplant. When the wind appears, special windproof panels should be installed from polyethylene, paper or something else. Thanks to these actions, the force of the wind will decrease significantly, and the soil will warm up more quickly.

Pasynkovanie

Growing early varieties of tomatoes, you should pay special attention to pasynkovaniyu - cutting off lateral unnecessary shoots. It is not necessary to allow a strong outgrowth of the stepchildren themselves: they are usually cut off at a height of 4 to 5 centimeters, leaving at the same time very small sticks (about 5 mm), so that later new stepsons do not appear. An experienced gardener knows that early varieties of tomatoes can be formed in one, two or three stems during pasynkovanie. If you need one stem - all the stepsons are completely removed, if two or three - one and two shoots are left, respectively. All subsequent cutoffs of stepchildren are made with a periodicity of 8 to 9 days. Do not forget that the smaller the brush and stems on the plant, the faster and better the early varieties of tomatoes will ripen. Therefore, with the formation of 2 - 3 brushes, cut the tip of the shoot, leaving one or two leaves.

Do not forget also about timely fertilizing, loosening and weeding. For the early ripening of the fruits, the first tomatoes should be ripped off in milk ripeness and left to be used for recovery, in order to accelerate the formation of the remaining fruits in the future and increase the yield.
