Cranberries, wiped with sugar, harvested for the winter fairly easily. But before you put the berry mass in sterilized jars, fresh fruits need to be well processed. To do this, you need to buy a sufficient amount of product, carefully sort it out, and then rinse in cool water. So that during this procedure the berries do not escape, it is recommended to pour them into a colander or strainer. Next, the fruit should be shaken so that they are completely devoid of moisture. If necessary, cranberries can be placed on a waffle towel and held there for 5-8 minutes.

Processing of the main ingredient

Cranberries, wiped with sugar, the recipe of which is extremely light, must be carefully processed before sugar is poured into it. To do this, the prepared fruit should be placed in a blender, and then crushed into gruel at the highest speed. If such a device you do not have available, then the berries can be rubbed in a food processor or meat grinder.

Forming a sweet billet

After the cranberries are crushed to mashed potatoes, it must be put in an enameled basin, and then covered with white sugar. Both components should be well mixed with a large spoon, and then left in a bowl for a while at room temperature. If desired, this blank can be kept warm all night.

Preparation of dishes

Cranberries, ground with sugar, should not be subjected to heat treatment. After all during cooking all the useful substances, vitamins and trace elements contained in the berries, just disappear. That's why it is recommended to use sterilized containers for such a preparation, since the dessert will retain the maximum time. So, take a few half-liter or 750-gram cans, wash them well, using baking soda, and then stand for a while in the steamer.

Making a dessert for the winter

After the fried fruit is infused with sugar, and the jars are sterilized, the sweet berry mass must be poured over glass jars, covered with sugar (1 cm thick), then covered with plastic lids (can be glass) and put in a refrigerator.

How to properly serve the sweet billet
