Container: dimensions and characteristics. Inner dimensions of the container

A container is a container of a certain size, used for various purposes. This can be all kinds of cargo transportation by road, sea, railway transport, reloading of goods by means of mechanization. Everyone knows garbage containers, without which it is impossible to imagine cleanliness and order in the city.

Depending on its purpose, this multifunctional packaging has special dimensions and material of manufacture. For example, the sizes of the containers used for transport are in most cases standardized. For each specific case, a container of a certain size is used.

Container 20 feet

This model is one of the most popular types of containers intended for cargo transportation. The most demanded container for use in maritime transport. For goods that have small dimensions, but with a large mass, the container is also preferred 20 feet, its dimensions are the most suitable for this.

The design is characterized by the following parameters:

1. The dimensions of the outer part - 6.06 * 2.44 * 2.59.

2. The internal dimensions of the container are 5.9 * 2.350 * 2.39.

3. The tare weight is 2.20 t.

4. Normative loading - 30 tons.

The container is made of sheets of steel 3 mm thick. Its walls and roof are covered with an anti-corrosion compound that increases the operating time of the container. The wooden floor of the container is about 30 cm thick, so that it successfully withstands loads, as a rule, it is strengthened with steel beams. The door is located at the end of the structure, it usually opens to the full width of the wall to ensure the most convenient and fast loading.

Container 40 feet

Such packaging is very much in demand by transport companies for all types of transportation. The container is 40 feet long (its dimensions are 12 meters in length) designed to move both large and massive and small loads. To exclude deformation of the structure, the walls and ceiling of the container are made of corrugated metal. In the case of increased stress on these elements, the cargo will remain intact.

In order for the container floor to withstand a heavy load, it is made of dense plywood, the width of which is 40 cm. To increase strength, the material undergoes a different kind of processing.

Based on a typical 40-foot container, various models have been developed, used to transport goods with different characteristics. They include:

1. A standard container, the mass of which is 4 tons.

2. Thermocontainer.

3. The refrigerator.

4. Platform with the presence of racks.

5. Tare with a hinged roof, which gives the possibility of vertical loading.

Three-ton container

This is another popular standardized type of container. It is intended for transportation of various non-food and food products. This design is a standardized container, the dimensions are:

1. Parameters of the outer part - 2.40 * 1.33 * 2.10.

2. The internal dimensions of the container - 2,12 * 1,22 * 1,98.

3. Normative loading - 2.40 tons.

4. The volume of the inner part is 5.6 m3.

5. The doorway is 1.225 * 2.090.

To ensure the safety of the cargo during transportation, the mass of one place should not be more than 0.5 tons. Inside the container there is a locking system that allows immobilizing the load during its movement.

The three-ton container is made of strong steel, its walls are made of corrugated metal, the floor is made of strong wood, treated in a special way.

Five-ton container

This type of container belongs to the category having a medium-tonnage capacity. It is popular for transportation of all kinds of goods: industrial and food, cargo without packaging, equipment. It is not recommended to transport cargo in such a container, after the withdrawal of which, urgent disinfection of the container is necessary.

Container sizes 5 tons:

1. External - 2.40 * 2.10 * 2.65.

2. Internal - 2,280 * 1,950 * 2,520.

3. The doorway is 2,130 * 1,95.

4. Normative loading - 3,8 tons.

5. The volume of the inner part is 10.4 m3.

Container-refrigerator

This type of container is indispensable for the transport of various food products, medicines, complex electronics, plants and other types of cargo that need a constant temperature of a certain value. In standard types of containers, usually the designs are 20 and 40 feet, refrigeration units are installed. They provide inside the container a constant temperature in the range from -25 to +25 degrees. This allows not only to cool the products, but also to freeze them, which is very important when transporting, for example, meat products for long distances.

Maintains a uniform and constant temperature in the container and thermal insulation. Since the operation of the refrigeration plant requires electricity that can not be continuously produced in the right quantities during a long journey, the installation is turned off after the desired temperature inside the container has been reached. After that, the maintenance of the temperature is ensured by thick sandwich panels, from which the container-refrigerator is made. If the installation equipment fixes the change in air temperature, it switches on again.

The universal dimensions of the refrigerated containers allow the container to be moved from one transport to another without producing a cargo seizure, which is also very important for ensuring the safety of perishable goods.

Tank container

This type of container is designed for the transport of liquid cargo. It can be as food products (mineral water, alcoholic drinks, concentrated juices, food additives), and chemical substances (oil products, paints, varnishes, acids). In addition to liquid cargo, liquefied gases and bulk substances are transported in such containers.

The design of the tank-container is a solid steel frame, inside of which there is a tank. It is equipped with a discharge system through which the discharge is made. The liquid merges either under the action of the force of attraction, or under the influence of pressure.

Block container

These containers are not intended for cargo transportation, but for erecting structures in a short time. Such structures are often used in construction work.

Block containers can have a plumbing, office and household purpose. When making a design, windows and doors in it, as well as external and internal finishes, are manufactured in accordance with the wishes of the customer. Very often used second-hand block containers, which have been preserved in excellent condition, but no longer needed by the previous owner. This situation is possible due to the excellent performance characteristics of the structures, which are manufactured from strong quality materials in accordance with all modern technologies.

Garbage containers

These designs - a pledge of cleanliness in yards and on the streets of cities. The most common sizes of garbage containers are 0.75 and 0.80 m3. The product is made of steel sheets with a thickness of 2 mm. Containers must be resistant to temperature fluctuations, ultraviolet radiation.

For convenience of operation garbage containers are equipped with lids or wheels with rubber tires, each of which is capable of self-rotation. If the lid tightly adheres to the surface of the tank, then the penetration of odors into the surrounding space is absolutely impossible.
