Cider - wine from apples at home

You harvested apples. Jam and compotes are cooked, and apples are left. What else can you make of this useful fruit, in addition to jams, jellies and dried fruits? For example, wine from apples at home, and in another way - cider. Cider is called a drink with a low alcohol content. Prepare such a drink mainly from apple juice, but there are exceptions. Apple juice is fermented without adding yeast, resulting in a tasty and light drink.

Wine from apples at home is characterized by low cost and variety of tastes, depending on the kind of apples used. Add sugar to the apple juice and ferment. The result of these procedures is a drink with a strength of about 6%, golden color and deep apple flavor. Depending on how much sugar is in the drink, cider is divided into several types:

  1. Cider in pure form. Prepared without water.
  2. The cider is diluted. Add a small amount of water.
  3. Sweet cider.
  4. Dry cider.
  5. Sparkling cider.
  6. Sparkling cider.

To make a delicious wine from apples at home, you can use a scavenger or any other apples. Wash them, peel them and remove seeds, damage.

Apples through a juicer or grate on a fine grater. Transfer to a large basin. Allow to stand for three days. For two days, stir the apples occasionally. Last days do not touch at all. On the third day, remove the mash and add sugar. Sugar add to taste, for example, if you want to get a dessert wine, then per liter of processed apples add four hundred grams of sugar, dry - two hundred grams. Then, pour the wine from the apples at home into a closed container. Fill the tank completely, there must be room for foam. In the prepared vessel make a hole and insert a tube into it. From the outside, put the tube into a glass of water. Put in a warm place. Forget about the wine for a month and a half. After remove, remove the tube. Let the guilt stay. Waste the wine in a clean container, try not to mix it with the sediment. Stand in a clean container for two to four months. Only after this finished wine, pour into bottles and cover with lids.

Apple cider with honey

It will take:

  • Apples, eight kilograms;
  • Six liters of water;
  • A half kilogram of honey.

You can use any apples. Cut each into four pieces and place it in a clean canvas bag. Bag tightly tied. Place in enameled dishes. Top the apples with a wooden circle, preferably with a grid, press it down with a load. Then pour the syrup, prepared from boiled water and honey. Cover the top with a cloth. Leave to wander in a cool place for five weeks. After this time, drain the cider into a clean container. The remaining pulp fill with the same syrup in the amount equal to the cider fused. After five weeks, drain the prepared cider again. Fill the mash with the third time. After all this, mix the three ciders together. Leave to settle for nine months. When the cider is completely thrown out, pour into bottles, close the lids and hold for another four weeks in the cold, to stop the fermentation process.

Cider mixed - from apples and pears

It will take:

  • Apples and pears (apples should be more by a third);
  • water;
  • Elderberry flowers;
  • coriander.

To not have to add sugar, pears take sweet, and apples sour. Fruit rinse. Remove peel, seeds, decayed parts. Chop the mashed potatoes. Transfer to enameled dishes, cover with a piece of gauze. Put in a warm place for two days. Do not forget to mix the mass every five hours. Then put mashed potatoes under the press, the resulting juice is poured into a glass jar. Pour the water according to the amount of the resulting wort, mix. Leave the wort for five days. In the resulting cider, put the elderberry and coriander, placing the spices in a gauze pouch. At the end of fermentation, drain the cider. Pour into suitable containers with plugs. Leave to infuse in a dark place for another month. Then you can drink it.
