Can not you sleep all night? Try to prepare a soothing tea according to an unusual recipe

Many of us sometimes have difficulty falling asleep and sleeping. Modern society, more precisely, its constant distractions, such as obsession with work, the need to stay in touch around the clock and other influences, has caused a decline in the quality of sleep in many people.

Decreased sleep quality

In addition to external factors, health has a significant impact on the quality of sleep. This is true especially for neurological pathologies of all types. When our brain "turns off", it also too often affects our sleep. Stress, diet, medications, as well as numerous other effects can also interfere with sleep.

When the quality of sleep leaves much to be desired, many other aspects of life also suffer. We are less productive, prone to mood swings, we can not concentrate, but that's not all. Many other aspects of both personal and professional life are under the negative impact of poor sleep.

So what do we do? The easiest way to swallow tablets, but they carry the risk of potentially dangerous side effects.

When we take sleeping pills, we change the natural cycle of sleep and wakefulness, which is embedded in the body. Sleeping pills often work quite well in the short term, but they, like most other types of drugs, can be addictive. In the long run, this disrupts the natural circadian rhythm of our body, which further complicates the process of going to sleep.

Side effects of hypnotics

Here is a detailed list of common side effects of sleeping pills, even if it is sold by prescription:

  • Burning or tingling in the hands or feet;
  • Change in appetite;
  • constipation;
  • diarrhea;
  • Difficulties in maintaining equilibrium;

  • Daytime sleepiness;

  • Unusual dreams;
  • weakness.

These are common side effects of hypnotic drugs. Naturally, there should be a better and healthier option. We suggest you try to make tea on this recipe, which will help you to quickly fall asleep and sleep deeply for several hours.

Banana tea with cinnamon

This drink relaxes and helps to fall asleep, but that's not all. It is also very tasty and healthy.

Bananas contain significant amounts of magnesium and potassium - two very important minerals to promote the ability to sleep. Together, they are a terrific tool for natural muscle relaxation. When our body is relaxed, it is much easier for us to fall asleep, for obvious reasons. Magnesium and potassium also have a calming effect on the brain, which makes it easier to go to sleep.

Cinnamon is an excellent ingredient because it stabilizes blood sugar levels. This is important, since the level of sugar directly affects the ability of the body to balance the production of hormones. In some cases, people who have an imbalance in blood sugar levels experience fatigue throughout the day. It can provoke a dream during the day, but its quality will suffer at night.

Magnesium is actually the most important mineral for muscle relaxation. It is also effective for easing pain and getting rid of seizures. When we experience stress, physiological mechanisms reduce the level of magnesium, and therefore it is very important to replenish the reserves of this mineral. An adequate level of magnesium is important for getting rid of stress and promoting relaxation.

Potassium basically acts as a synergistic ingredient in this recipe. In other words, its main property is to enhance the effect of the recipe. Exact mechanisms are unknown, but the researchers noted that potassium significantly improves sleep quality due to fewer awakenings after falling asleep.

Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 crude (preferably organic) banana.
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon (optional, but desirable).

Brief Note: The banana peel should also be used, since it contains the highest amount of potassium. Cinnamon will reduce the bitterness of the peel.

Instructions:

  • Cut the top and bottom ends of a brown banana.
  • Put the unpeeled banana in a small pot of water and bring to a boil (purified water is the preferred choice).
  • Cook the unpeeled banana for about 10 minutes.
  • Add a teaspoon of cinnamon to the pan.
  • Strain and pour the tea into a mug.

For best results (and better sleep!), You should drink this tea at least an hour before bedtime.

Another option for you ...

If you are not a tea lover, you can also eat a raw banana (again, an hour before bedtime). Add cinnamon for additional flavoring.
