Breeds of laying hens

Chickens, due to their omnivorous and unpretentiousness, are the most common living creatures in private household plots. Contain this kind of bird capable of older people, and adolescents. It is very important to choose the right breed of chickens in order to get as much return as possible from the investments so that they can carry well, gain weight and eat any food.

It should be borne in mind that industrial breeds of laying hens, which are already going to slaughter after a year, are not very suitable for private farms. Adler breed has so-called Colombian plumage, leaf-shaped comb, yellow legs and ear lobes of red color, well developed skeleton. The live weight of its representatives at the age of 60 days reaches 870 grams in chickens and 1100 grams in males, adult cocks weigh up to 4 kilograms, and laying hens - up to 2.8 kilograms. Sufficient nutrition and the correct content of chickens of this breed provides egg production, which in the first year reaches 220 eggs, covered with a brown shell, with a weight of up to 80 grams or more. The first egg of the bird of this breed is deposited at the age of 165 to 180 days, in some cases - before 125 - 130 days.

Chickens of the Adler silver breed of laying hens in order to update the breeding stock should be taken from the end of May to the beginning of June. In this case, they will grow in a natural rhythm for them, under conditions of an increasing duration of daylight hours. Such birds are physically strong, practically do not get sick, they do not suffer from prolapse of the oviduct, which sometimes happens with those that were early withdrawn and started to swell early. Recently, the birds of the Adler silver breed of laying hens have a decrease in the average mass index in comparison with their ancestors. This fact is connected with the process of increasing egg production, which leads to their "relief".

The roosters of this breed have some remarkable qualities:

1. They are inferior to feed the chickens.

2. Find something tasty, call the hens, and they themselves eat only what remains after them (for this reason, the males often do not gain weight).

3. Roosters teach young chickens to be carried in certain nests (they climb into the nests and call the chickens there).

This breed of chickens - trusting, they are easily accustomed to approach the call: "chick-tsipa." It is important to remember that goodwill towards birds improves their mood and well-being, as chickens are very sensitive to human emotions.

It is very important to comply with all the rules for their maintenance and feeding, only then you can count on the maximum profit from such a household sector as poultry. Laying hens are able to give up to 5 - 6 eggs per week with full feeding. One way to increase egg production is the yeast of the previously sprouted, dried and ground grain, which they are fed.

Feeding of birds should be carried out at the same time intervals, 3-4 times a day in winter and 4-5 times in summer. The first feeding is carried out as soon as possible, and the last - as late as possible. Water is supplied in special automatic watering-pots. It is also necessary to provide chickens with mineral substances in the form of chalk, shells and eggshells.
