It was called "Closed show".

"Closed Show"

"Closed show" is the author's transfer of the famous Russian presenter, actor and film director Alexander Gordon. This man is not the first year is one of the most qualified people in his field. What does the transmission

The bottom line is that the studio is viewed and then the films are discussed. "Closed show" (a list of some of the paintings we'll look at today) is a broadcast in which the facilitator, filmmakers and the film crew take part in the discussion. They are given the opportunity to make an opening speech and tell in detail about what exactly the audience is to see. Also in the studio there are many other skilled artists, such as screenwriters, actors, film critics and many, many others. All of them can express their unbiased opinion after the end of watching the movie. Also in the discussion are actively involved and ordinary viewers, among whom you can meet both young students and older movie fans who have a lot of life experience.

Features of transmission

Unlike many other Russian programs devoted to cinematography, the studio often displays films intended for a narrow circle of people. This kind of picture is often called arthouse. They are not entertaining, but often carry a much deeper idea, which makes you think a lot. On the air of the "Closed Show" mainly domestic film works were broadcast. But often it was also possible to meet foreign films well- known directors. Often they personally came to the studio to tell Russian fans about how their picture was created, as well as share their work experience in cinematography. In particular, one of the issues was visited by Francis Ford Coppola himself - the author of such masterpieces as "Godfather" and "Apocalypse Now." At the "Closed show" he presented his last work at the moment called "Between."

Movies "Closed display": list

  • "Hunter";
  • "Ellipses";
  • "Written by Sergei Dovlatov";
  • "Representing the victim";
  • "The smell of heather";
  • "Another sky";
  • "The guy from Mars";
  • "Bedouin".

"Hunter" (film of 2011)

We decided to start our list with this unusual adventure drama by Daniel Netthaim. It was shown in one of the latest editions of the program. In the center of the plot of this story is a lonely man named Martin. He is an experienced hunter and a loner. Martin intentionally eschews human society. The protagonist has long been tired of life and decides to take on a rather risky task, since he already simply has nothing to lose. After signing a contract with a fairly influential company, he goes to the lesser known and wild forests of Tasmania. Martin's task is to search for and then kill the last Australian tiger, which has been considered a completely exterminated species for several years now. During his journey, he stumbles upon a small house in which lives a young woman Lucy. She recently lost her husband, who went to the forest and did not return from there. What will this meeting lead to?

"Hunter" - a film in 2011, which was warmly received by professional critics. In their reviews, they celebrated the matchless game of Willem Defoe, who does not hesitate to appear in the low-budget author's cinema of such a plan. Here he performed one of his best roles in recent years. But despite all this the film failed miserably in the American box office. Very few people went to Russia for him. It is for this reason that we are less likely to see such small masterpieces. Young and talented directors simply do not allocate money, as their creations do not pay off. It remains only to hope that soon the situation will change.

"Ellipses" (2006)

This film, shot by the Russian film director Andrei Eshpai, was shown in the second issue of the program and received many positive reviews from the participants who were in the studio. The main character of the film is a woman named Kira Georgievna. She lives a completely happy life, which is not much different from a dozen others. She has a beloved husband, nice children, and quite a cozy house. Everything went on as usual until the first husband of Kira appeared on the threshold of the house. He spent twenty years in the camps. This seriously affected his character and life beliefs. But the only thing remained unchanged - feelings towards the main heroine. As a result, they begin to meet secretly from her current husband. But how long can they hide the truth from him?

According to the viewers, who prefer the mass cinema art house, the film "Dots" (Andrew Eshpai, 2006) became one of the strongest works of the year. It was also noted that in the film there were very strong acting works, worthy of the highest awards. And with this it is difficult to argue. That's just all this did not help the film Eshpai collect a decent cash in theaters.

"Written by Sergei Dovlatov" (2012)

Roma Liberov is one of the youngest Russian directors. His film called "Written by Sergei Dovlatov," he shot only 32 years. Few people manage to declare themselves so early. The film, created in a very atypical manner, tells about the life of an outstanding Soviet and American writer and journalist - Sergei Dovlatov. During the years of his life he created many different works, and also wrote articles. Thanks to various letters, editorial columns and interview, the director was able to show this unusual story.

According to the reviews of professional critics, the film "Written by Sergei Dovlatov" (Roman Liberov, 2012) is innovative and has a very bold direction. Rarely when newcomers tend to experiment. Instead, many are trying to create something that will be understandable to a mass audience. But for Novel Liberov, fame did not matter. That's why he managed to create this outstanding documentary-animated film.

"Representing the victim" (2006)

Kirill Serebrennikov is one of the most famous Russian directors of the 21st century. During his short career, he has already managed to fully reveal his directorial potential and create a considerable number of outstanding film works. Unlike other directors, he is not afraid to raise topical issues in his films. "Representing the victim" - one of his most notorious director's works, shot with a good deal of black humor.

In the center of the plot is a young man named Valentin. He recently graduated from the institute and is now looking for a place to earn money. For a long time he did not have to look: he almost immediately succeeded in obtaining a rather unusual position in the local police department. In the task of Wali is to represent the victim on the ground crimes, which leads the defendants. However, all these investigations occur exclusively for the sake of a check, which creates a considerable part of the absurdity of what is happening.

The audience suddenly created the film "Imaging Victims" (Cyril Serebrennikov, 2006) in the status of a cult. Numerous positive responses to this day continue to pour into the director's film. Many movie lovers remember the scene in which one of the heroes speaks to everyone a well-known monologue, flavored with a selective mat. It was thanks to this fragment that this generation recognized the present film as well.

"The smell of heather" (2011)

Nathanael is a young man who spends most of his life on the Internet. So there is nothing surprising in that the virtual reality has become much closer and more pleasant for him than the world around him. After some time he manages to get acquainted with a young girl. But they only communicate on the Internet. But one day the main character decides to take a serious step. He collects things and sets out on his journey. He hopes to meet his lover and try to build a real relationship. Will he succeed in doing this?

The film of the little-known director Amet Magomedov fell in love with the participants of the "Closed show" program. The experts expressed many positive reviews, and also praised the performer of the main role. But there were those who remained dissatisfied with what they saw. You can understand them. After all, the film "The Smell of Heather" (Amet Magomedov, 2011) is a typical representative of the comedy genre. Yes, there are a lot of interesting ideas in the film, but still expect something grand from this film viewers do not advise.

"Another sky" (2010)

For Dmitri Mamulia, this film remained the only one in his career. And it's easy to guess why, looking into the section with the collections of the film in the domestic box office. For our viewers, the film "Another Sky" (Dmitry Mamulia, 2010) simply passed unnoticed. In the center of the story is a man named Ali, who travels through Central Asia with his nine-year-old son. He is trying to do everything possible to find his wife. She abandoned him a few years ago, leaving for work. But Ali does not lose hope to find her and return. Will he succeed in this?

Many people note the general dramatic nature of what is happening on the screen. The film is completely built on understatement. Among other things, there is practically no positive moment in it. The audience repeatedly spoke about this and complained that it is quite difficult to sit out such a depressing movie until the very end.

"The guy from Mars" (2010)

The film "The Guy from Mars" (Sergei Osipyan, 2010) caused the most controversial reviews of critics, but at the same time found a response from ordinary viewers. The film was liked by many thanks to the presence of easy unobtrusive humor, as well as stunningly selected actors.

In the center of the story is a young man who is an employee of a fairly large chocolate company. For the time being, his affairs have gone uphill. But one day the situation changed dramatically ...

Bedouin (2012)

That rare case, when all the viewers and critics agreed, that the film "Bedouin" is definitely worthy of attention. Igor Voloshin (2012 became the birth year of the painting) knows the sense in a good movie. His director's talent is noted by all without exception, thanks to which "Bedwin" could find success.

In the center of the plot is a young single mother, who faces serious trouble: her daughter falls ill with a serious illness. She as soon as possible need to collect the necessary amount for the operation. But the heroine has no money. And then, finally despaired, she decides to go to a distant country, where they treat illnesses in very unusual ways ...

This is not all the films discussed in the transfer. "Closed show" list was huge, and every item in it definitely deserves your attention. Enjoy watching.
