All parts of the jaundice gray contain cardiac glycosides (cardboard): in seeds and flowers they are from 2 to 6%, in leaves - about 1.5, in roots - 0.2, and in stems - about 0.7%. The main glycosides in the plant are erizimin and erizimoid, which improve the work of the heart. By the nature of the action and speed, erysimine is close to strophanthin, but it acts a little softer and has less toxicity.
