Analogues of "Nurofen" for children

Today, probably, there were no mummies who would not have heard of such a drug as "Nurofen". After all, this medicine not only quickly removes the fever from the child and relieves pain, but also actively resists the inflammatory process. Analogues of "Nurofen" have an identical pharmacological effect, since their active substance is also ibuprofen. It is these medicines that we will consider in more detail.

Pharmacological action of "Nurofen"

This drug is available in several different forms, but for children it is used only as a suspension. Its main active substance is ibuprofen, which has antipyretic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect due to inhibition of cyclooxygenase.

Already 45 minutes after oral administration of the drug on an empty stomach is reached its maximum concentration in the plasma. If the drug was taken concomitantly with food, the absorption process takes 60 to 120 minutes.

Getting into the liver, the active component of the drug is metabolized to inactive derivatives completely, 10% of which are excreted unchanged, and the rest - by kidneys in the form of metabolites. Any Nurofen analogue for children based on ibuprofen has identical pharmacological and pharmacokinetic properties, so it can be used even for crumbs from 3 months.

Indications for the use of the drug and to whom is it contraindicated?

With the purpose of lowering the temperature, the remedy is recommended for admission for children from three months, sometimes even younger, if the crumb weight exceeds the minimum figure of 5 kg. Most often it is prescribed for ARVI, acute respiratory infections, influenza and other infectious and inflammatory diseases, which are accompanied by hyperthermia. A drug may also be recommended for the treatment of post-vaccination reactions.

The analogue of "Nurofen" (syrup) for children, like the original, is prescribed for dental, headache, neuralgia, migraine. It is effective also for otitis, tonsillitis and other ailments of the throat and ears.

Despite a lot of positive pharmacological actions, the drug is strictly forbidden to small patients with increased sensitivity to any of the components, as well as in pathologies such as rhinitis, urticaria and bronchial asthma.

Doctors do not prescribe analogues of Nurofen, as the medicine itself, if the child is diagnosed with hypokalemia, hepatic or renal insufficiency, inflammatory diseases and peptic ulcers of the gastrointestinal tract, or various ailments of blood. In addition, doctors recommend to closely monitor after taking the first dose of the drug for the condition of the smallest patients, even those who do not have contraindications, and in case of any adverse reactions, seek medical help immediately.

The Russian analogue of the medicine

Thanks to the active work of advertising companies, the well-known consumer is the original Nurofen drug. Analogues Russian, which are completely identical in composition and action, are used less often, since they are not so well advertised. Although they are in no way inferior to their pharmacological characteristics.

Side effects of the agent "Ibuprofen"

And the analogue of "Nurofen" (syrup) for children - the drug "Ibuprofen" - is no exception to the rules. To remove the pain syndrome and quickly cope with the heat can also analog "Nurofen" for children of Polish origin. Suspension "Ibufen" doctors appoint crumbs from three months with viral infections, influenza states, as well as in angina and other ailments of the respiratory tract and ENT organs. In dentistry, this medicine can be prescribed to a small patient both during eruption and after removal of the teeth. Surgeons, in turn, are recommended to take the remedy for various damages to soft tissues, joints, ligaments and even fractures.

Like other analogues of Nurofen, the drug has a list of negative side effects. Therefore, it should be taken only according to the doctor's prescription and clearly follow the recommended dosing system.

The drug "Advil"

Another medicine, which can replace the drug "Nurofen", is the syrup for children "Advil". The manufacturer produces it in 200 ml vials, which, together with the syringe-dispenser, are packed in cardboard packs. Like other analogues of "Nurofen", this medication is intended to combat heat and pain syndrome in children. Ibuprofen, which plays the role of the main active substance, is effective in diseases of ENT organs, respiratory tract infections and injuries of various nature.

As for contraindications to taking medication, they are all described in the instructions for use. It is in this leaflet that you can read that the medicine is strictly forbidden to people with intolerance to the components of the remedy, as well as for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, kidneys, optic nerve and impaired hematopoiesis. In other words, like Nurofen (syrup), analogues of the drug, including the suspension "Advil", have identical contraindications.

The medicine "Bofen"

This non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and antirheumatic remedy, doctors prescribe crumbs from three months with ARVI, ARD, otitis, teething and other ailments accompanied by pain syndrome and hyperthermia.

A remedy is available in the form of a syrup, the main active ingredient of which is ibuprofen. Pharmacists used sodium saccharin, citric acid monohydrate, sodium citrate, purified water, glycerin, sodium benzoate (E211), sodium chloride, liquid maltitol, xanthan gum and orange flavoring as auxiliary components for drug development.

Brufen Forte

This medication, created by German pharmacists based on ibuprofen, is prescribed by modern pediatricians not very often. However, this does not mean that its pharmacological action is weaker than what the "Nurofen" child does. Analogues of such an order as the "Brufen Forte" means have identical characteristics and can help with pain syndrome of mild and moderate intensity of various genesis and quickly cope with heat.

It is also worth noting that this drug can be used to treat crumbs with a body weight of more than 10 kg and adults.

The drug "Ibunorm Baby"

If a child has ARD, SARS, teeth are cut or any other inflammatory process is diagnosed, which is accompanied by fever and pain syndrome, the doctor can prescribe the medicine "Ibunorm Baby". Contraindications for the use of this medication can serve various diseases of the digestive tract, violations of the liver or kidneys, or hypersensitivity to one or more components of the drug.

A syrup is produced in 50 and 200 ml vials.

Other analogues of Nurofen for children

All of the above drugs are direct analogs of the "Nurofen", which are used to relieve pain and heat in children. However, this list of medicines based on ibuprofen is only a small part of the assortment, which is now presented in our pharmacies.

It is also worth noting that in order to relieve pain in crumbs, drugs can be used not only in the form of syrups. Children with 12 years of age with injuries and inflammatory processes of soft tissues the doctor can prescribe the drug "Nurofen" (gel).
