What is a troupe?

This word is called a constantly acting creative group of actors, also singers and musicians. In Russian the company is usually a collective of a separate theater or circus. The dictionary of foreign words indicates that this term comes from the French troupe or the German word truppe. And it means the personal actor's composition of a separate theater, as well as the society of wandering singers and actors. If we talk about the theater, then such a group collects the leader, the director, proceeding from the repertoire of his theater. Often, this or that theater is played because of the beloved actors who make up his troupe. When it is possible to create such a wonderful collective, the theater acquires a special popularity, and sometimes the transition of one famous actor from one troupe to another can reduce this popularity.

Varieties of the troupe

Let us now consider in more detail, on which the character of the theater troupe depends. First of all, it determines the type of theater. Accordingly, the theater troupe can be dramatic, operatic, operetta, ballet. There are several more of its varieties, depending on the typical organization of the theater. There are theaters that do not have a permanent troupe, and actors are hired for a separate performance. But most theaters still have it the same. These theaters are stationary, repertory, although such a refinement usually does not apply. We also know the name of a wandering troupe. This is the name of a group of actors who are constantly moving and performing in different places, since they do not have their own building. Another troupe is associated with a patron, an entrepreneur, or creator, and they are called by his name.

From the history of the creation of the first permanent troupe in Moscow

Empress Elizabeth Petrovna in 1756 issued a decree, after which the Russian theater was established in St. Petersburg. Soon after that, the theater opens at Moscow University. His actors are the students themselves, and the director of this university, the poet and playwright MM Kheraskov leads them. The existence of this theater was short-lived, but later it was on its basis that the first permanent troupe was formed in Moscow. It consisted of dramatic actors, singers, musicians and dancers. The first few years after the creation of the decades, it was headed by private entrepreneurs, and only in 1806 the troupe moved to a public account.

Composition of the theater troupe

The theatrical company consists of artists who are selected according to the principle of the repertoire of the theater, its system, other creative aspects and nuances of the theatrical system. The majority of famous theater figures, directors, actors consider that the composition of the troupe should be a conciliar actor's brotherhood, with a clearly expressed command community. Artists who enter it must be rooting for the common cause, be able to reincarnate into a new character with each new play, every new production.

Briefly about the well-known theaters in Russia and their troupes

Russia is famous for its theaters, especially known are the institutions of St. Petersburg and Moscow. In the northern capital of Russia there are about 185 theaters, in which their own troupes work. The most famous among them are the Lensovet Theater, the Youth Theater on the Fontanka, the Small and Grand Drama Theater, and the Mikhailovsky and Mariinsky theaters. The Mariinsky Theater is regarded as the most popular by right - it is a symbol of Russian theater culture. On his stage you can contemplate the true masterpieces of national and world opera and ballet.

Its head is V. Gergiev. As for the Mariinsky troupes, both opera and ballet, they are recognized as the best in the world. The composition of the troupe of this theater is the most talented artists who have become world stars: O. Borodin, A. Netrebko, U. Lopatkin, D. Vishneva and many others. Russia's business card is undoubtedly the Grand Academic Theater in Moscow. This is the main theater of the country. Actors of the Bolshoi play a repertoire, whose musical productions are considered world masterpieces.

"The ideal troupe is ..."

What will famous people say? Turning to famous actors, art directors of theaters, theater critics with questions: "An ideal troupe - what is it? Does it really exist?", You can hear different thoughts on this matter. But in the main there was no unequivocal answer to this question. Famous Mark Zakharov, for example, believes that the ideal troupe is different creative individualities, which are connected by a powerful internal energy potential. The troupe should include different age actors: young, mature and even those who are already in the "overripe" age.

The popular actress Julia Rutberg is sure that ideal troupes are created in the students, at courses, in basements. This can be considered only that collective where people together experience for one common cause, turning into a real family, which even begins to breathe together. Theater critic Yuri Rybakov said that the theater company should be composed of the right people. It should be universal actors who can play both comedy and drama. The actors' troupe should focus on the public and collect the full-time sell out.

But if you delve deeper into this question, then you agree with Mark Zakharov, who compared the question of an ideal troupe with if we talked about the ideal director, actor, theater expert or just an ideal person. Such a clear designation is not and can not be. Therefore, the troupe is undoubtedly a collective of talented artists who work together, delighting and surprising the public.
