What is interactive learning technology? Active and interactive learning technologies

School education includes a variety of teaching methods, the purpose of which is to maximize the learning of students. However, teachers and methodologists are still concerned with the question of how to effectively train the younger generation. That is why the introduction of various innovations is positively perceived with a view to the successful implementation of this process.

Extractive learning mode

Communication between pupil and teacher in school has always been divided into passive and active. And only recently there was an interactive learning technology.
What is each of these methods?

With a passive model, the mastering of the material by the student occurs only with the words of the teacher, as well as the material given in the textbooks. In this lesson, the main character is the teacher. Schoolboys are simply passive listeners. The communication of pupils with the teacher with this method is carried out through control or independent works, tests, and interviews. This model in education is traditional and continues to be used by educators. An example of such training is lessons conducted in the form of lectures. At the same time, students do not perform any creative tasks.

Active method

At the present stage of school development, the passive mode of education becomes irrelevant. More active methods are beginning to be used. They are such a form of interaction between the teacher and students, in which both sides of the learning process communicate with each other. Students are not passive listeners at all. They become active participants in the lesson, having equal rights with the teacher. This stimulates children's cognitive activity and their independence. In this process, the role of creative tasks increases in the process of obtaining knowledge. In addition, if the passive method is dominated by an authoritarian style, then with an active method, it turns into a democratic one.

However, this model also has some drawbacks. With its use, students are subjects of learning only for themselves. Children communicate with the teacher, but do not have a dialogue with each other. Thus, the active teaching method is one-sided. It is relevant when using technologies of self-education, self-development, self-education and self-management. However, the active regime does not teach children the exchange of knowledge. He does not allow him to gain experience of interaction in the group.

Innovative methodology

There are also modern interactive learning technologies. With this technique, the whole lesson is in the mode of dialogue or conversation with someone. Active and interactive learning technologies have much in common. Some even put an equal sign between them.

However, the interactive methodology focuses on the broad interaction of students not only with the teacher, but also with each other. What is the place of the teacher in this lesson? He directs the activities of students to perform the tasks assigned to the class. Thus, interactive learning technology is nothing more than a modern form of the active method.

Innovative concept

The very word "interactive" came in Russian from English. Its literal translation means "inter" and "act". The term "interactive" expresses the ability to be in a state of dialogue, conversation, or interact with someone (for example, a person), as well as with something (computer). Thus, the innovative form of learning is a dialogue in which interaction is realized.

Organization of interactive mode

The innovative form of presentation of knowledge is designed to create the most comfortable conditions for students. Interactive teaching technologies in the school presuppose such a lesson organization, when modeling of various life situations takes place and role plays are used. At the same time, a general solution to the question posed is made on the basis of an analysis of the proposed situations and circumstances.

Information flows penetrate the consciousness of students and activate brain activity. Of course, interactive learning technology requires completely changing the existing structure of the lesson. In addition, such a regime is impossible without the experience and professionalism of the teacher himself.

In the structure of the modern lesson, the technology of interactive teaching methods, which are concrete methods, should be used to the maximum. With their use, knowledge acquisition will be more interesting and rich.

So what is interactive learning technology in the DOW? These are the techniques when the student constantly reacts to the objective and subjective relations of the learning system, periodically entering into it as an active element.

Importance of innovative forms of education

For the educational process, Russian legislation has enshrined the principle of humanization. In this regard, the content of the entire learning process will need to be reviewed .

The main goal of the school process is the integral development of the child's personality in the exercise of independent mental and cognitive activity. And this is fully supported by modern interactive technologies. When they are applied, the student independently follows the path to knowledge and assimilates them to a greater extent.

Target Orientations

The technology of interactive teaching methods is designed:

- to activate individual mental processes of students;
- to awaken the student's inner dialogue ;
- to provide an understanding of the information that was the subject of the exchange;
- to realize the individualization of pedagogical interaction;
- bring the child to a position where he will become the subject of training;
- to provide two-way communication in the process of information exchange between schoolchildren.

Pedagogical technologies of interactive teaching put the teacher in the task of facilitating and supporting the process of obtaining knowledge. It is important:

- to reveal diversity of points of view;
- refer to the personal experience of the participants in the dialogue;
- support the activity of schoolchildren;
- combine practice with theory;
- to promote mutual enrichment of participants' experience;
- facilitate the perception and assimilation of the task;
- Encourage children's creativity.

Key positions

Technologies for organizing interactive learning are the most advanced for today. Their essence is reduced to the transmission of information, not in the passive, but in the active mode when using the method of creating problematic situations. The goal of the lesson is not to transfer the finished knowledge to schoolchildren or their direction to self-overcoming difficulties. Interactive learning technology differs from other existing methods by a sensible combination of the child's own initiative with pedagogical management of the lesson. All this contributes to the achievement of the main goal of education - the creation of a comprehensive and harmoniously developed personality.

The positive aspects of the method

Using interactive learning technologies allows:

- increase the effectiveness of information exchange management, educational and training;
- students to exercise self-control, applying the knowledge gained in practice.

In addition, interactive learning technology contributes to the child's early mental development. In addition, the exchange of information between pupils and the teacher increases the child's confidence in the correctness of his conclusions.

Features of the organization

The use of interactive learning technologies occurs when students interact directly with the learning environment. It acts as a reality in which children acquire experience, which is the central activator of learning cognition.

With the usual passive or active teaching, the teacher is assigned the role of a kind of filter. He is forced to pass through all the educational information. Unlike these traditional methods, interactive teaching provides the role of a teacher as a schoolchild's assistant, which activates information flows.

Interactive models of learning, in comparison with traditional, change the interaction of the student with the teacher. The teacher gives up his activity to children, creating conditions for the manifestation of their initiative. Schoolchildren are full participants in such lessons. At the same time, their experience is as important as the experience of a teacher who does not give ready knowledge, but encourages his students to search.

The Role of the Teacher

The technology for the development of interactive learning suggests that the teacher in the lesson performs several tasks. One of them is to act as an expert informant. To do this, it is necessary to prepare and present the text material, demonstrate the video sequence, answer the questions of the lesson participants, track the results of the learning process, and so on.

Also, with interactive training, the teacher is assigned the role of the facilitator. It consists in establishing interaction between schoolchildren and the physical and social environment. To do this, the teacher breaks the children into subgroups, coordinates the fulfillment of their tasks, encourages them to independently search for answers, and so on.

The role of the teacher in interactive learning involves the performance of the functions of a consultant. The teacher not only refers to the already accumulated experience of the students, but also helps them in finding solutions to the tasks assigned.

Types of interactive technologies

For the effective presentation of knowledge in the lessons on the innovative method, the teacher uses:
- work in small groups, breaking up students into pairs, threes, etc.;
- the carousel technique;
- heuristic conversations;
- lectures, the presentation of which is problematic;
- method of brainstorming;
- business games;
- conferences;
- seminars in the form of debates or discussions;
- means of multimedia;

- technology of full-fledged cooperation;
- method of projects, etc.

Let us consider some of them in more detail.

A game

This is one of the most effective means of interactive learning, evoking a keen interest in the subject. Children love to play. And this need of their need to be used to solve educational and educational problems.

Business games for schoolchildren should be carefully prepared and thought out by the teacher. Otherwise they will be inaccessible to children and tiring for them.

Business games in the class are facilitated by:

- Increased interest in learning, as well as problems that are played out and modeled in the classroom;
- the possibility of an adequate analysis of a given situation;
- mastering of large information volumes;
- development of analytical, innovative, economic and psychological thinking.

Business games are classified according to:

- game environment (desktop, computer, television, technical);
- areas of activity (social, intellectual, physical, psychological, labor);
- Methods (role, subject, subject, imitative);
- the nature of the pedagogical process (cognitive, educational, diagnostic, generalizing, developing, training).

Interactive technologies for teaching a foreign language often use role-playing games. They can have the appearance of a dramatic or entertaining action. In this case, the participants of this game are assigned one or another role that children play either according to the pre-created plot or guided by the internal logic of the environment. This allows:
- develop thinking by means of the studied foreign language;
- increase motivation for the subject;
- ensure the student's personal growth;
- Improve the ability to communicate well and communicate with each other.

Work in pairs or groups

This method is also popular in the conduct of the lesson in an interactive way. Working in pairs or groups allows all students (even the most shy) to practice interpersonal relationships and collaborative skills. In particular, it finds expression in the ability to listen and calmly resolve all arising differences.

The groups or pairs can be formed by the students themselves, but more often the teacher does it. At the same time, the teacher takes into account the level of students and the nature of their relationship, and also sets clear tasks for them, recording them in cards or on a blackboard. It also gives the group enough time to complete the task.

Carousel

This interactive technology was borrowed from psychological trainings. This kind of work is usually very fond of children. To implement this technique, students form two rings: external and internal. The first of these is the pupils, which gradually move around in a circle every 30 seconds. Internally, the ring is made up of immobile children sitting in dialogue with those who are opposite to them. Within thirty seconds there is a discussion of this or that question, when each of the students tries to convince the interlocutor in the rightness. The method "Carousel" when learning a foreign language allows you to work out the themes "In the theater", "Acquaintance", "Conversation on the street", etc. The guys talk with great enthusiasm, and the whole lesson is not only dynamic but also very effective.

Brainstorm

In the process of conducting an interactive lesson, this method allows you to quickly solve the problem posed to the class, taking into account the maximum use of creative activity of schoolchildren. The teacher offers participants the opportunity to put forward a large number of solutions, among which there may be the most fantastic. After this, the most successful ideas are selected from all the ideas, which will allow to answer the question posed.

As you can see, there are a variety of methods of interactive learning. And the application of each of them makes it possible not only to develop the communicative skills and abilities of the student, but also to give an active impetus to the socialization of the individual, develop the ability to work in a team, and also to eliminate the psychological tension arising between the teacher and children as much as possible.
