Charlotte in our modern understanding is a biscuit baked with apples or other fruit filling. However, this delicious dessert has a relatively conventional attitude to this charlotte. If there is a desire to make a classic version of the charlotte, then you need to cut the loaf so that you can lay thicker slices on the bottom of the mold, and thinner on the sides of the mold and between the layers of apples. Now we need to prepare the filling by beating eggs with milk as if we are going to prepare an omelet, sugar and vanillin can be added to the mixture. It remains to cook apples. They need to be cut and a little put out in a small amount of water with sugar and lemon juice. But it's easier and faster to cook apples in a microwave oven. The mold should be very well oiled. Now take the pieces of the loaf, which go to the bottom of the pie, and dip them with one side into the omelet mixture. We spread the bread in a mold moistened with a side up. Slices are placed in the same way on the sides of the mold. Then you need to put some of the apple stuffing and close this layer with thin slices of bread, soaked in an omelet mixture on both sides. So repeat until the form is filled or the prepared bread is finished. The remains of the omelet mixture must be poured from above. Then prepare the cake baked in the oven.

However, today for most of us, a charlotte pie with apples is a delicious biscuit. And there are a lot of options for making such a dessert.

The simplest, but very delicious recipe prescribes to prepare a classic biscuit dough, well beaten eggs with powdered sugar and adding flour to this magnificent cream. In such a dough, do not put soda or baking powder in any case. The lavishness of the pie is provided by whipped eggs. Then cooked biscuit dough poured chopped and laid out on the bottom of apple forms, and the cake is placed in the oven. The secret of the success of this pie is in the careful whipping of eggs and the correct baking. By the time the dough is ready, the oven must be heated up to 180 degrees. And during baking, it is forbidden to open the oven door, since a sponge cake from the temperature drop may cause the pie and the pie will not be lush.

It is important and right to choose and prepare fruit for the filling. The most delicious pie, charlotte with apples, is obtained from antonovki, that is, fruits that have an acidic taste. If there are only sweet apples, then the situation can be corrected by adding a little bit of sour berries, for example, currants or cranberries.

Probably, every housewife has her own delicious Charlotte recipes. For example, some prefer to cook dough on kefir, with the addition of a small amount of butter and baking powder. In this case, the pie of charlotte with apples will have a completely different taste and appearance.

There is a version of charlottes, when apples are placed not on the bottom of the mold, but on top of the laid out dough. In this case, you do not need to turn the pie, because the filling will be on top. In this version, sometimes not biscuit, but shortbread dough is used.

In order to diversify the taste, the charlotte pie with apples can be prepared with different additives. For example, in the dough you can add vanillin, cinnamon, lemon peel or raisins. And if you put a bit of cocoa into the whipped mass, you get a chocolate charlotte.

Even more options can come up with a filling. To apples, as already mentioned, you can add berries, lemon zest, sliced orange slices or any other fruit. You can add nuts or honey to the filling.
