Wide tape - anaconda among helminths

In the animal world, there are many living beings that live in another being, and do harm to it. Being settled in the human body, they often cause severe illness. Small, invisible to the eye, and very large parasites in varying degrees represent a threat to human health.

Some of the helminths (parasitic worms) a person can become infected without observing personal hygiene, swallowing their eggs with dirt on their hands. Another way to infect - eating raw or not enough cooked meat of animals and fish, in which there are live worm larvae.

A kind of anaconda from the world of human helminths is a wide ribbon. It can be infected only by eating not cooked, not fried or completely contaminated fish at all. Most often, the larvae get to a person with a slightly salted caviar of freshwater fish.

For their development, a wide band of people changes their three owners. His eggs, having got into fresh water, under favorable conditions are transformed into coracidia, which are able to actively move in the water. Soon they are swallowed by various types of crustaceans. Inside the crustaceans there is a transformation into an oblong larva - procercoid.

Next, the crustaceans with the larvae enter the second intermediate host, the fish. Crayfish are digested in the intestines of fish, and procercoids through the walls of the intestine fall into the liver, caviar, fish muscles, where their development continues. Four weeks later, the last stage of development of the larva is reached. A plerocercoid appears 3 cm long, with two slit-shaped botries at the anterior end (for attachment to tissues).

It is in this form that the larva enters the body to the final host (except for the person they can be any carnivore). In the digestive tract of the host, attached to the intestinal mucosa, after 3 - 4 weeks, a sexually mature specimen is obtained from the larva. An adult parasite can reach a length of ten meters, the lifespan in a human body is up to twenty-five years.

In humans, a wide ribbon causes a disease of diphyllobothriasis - helminthiosis, accompanied by a lesion of the gastrointestinal tract and the development of megaloblastic anemia. Atrophy and necrosis develop due to mechanical action on the intestinal wall. There is a lack of vitamin B12, as it is drained from the intestine (the entire surface of the body) by a wide ribbon. Symptoms of the disease are often not so pronounced: abdominal pain, weakness, salivation, nausea, dizziness, vomiting, unstable stool.

Being a hermaphrodite, a wide ribbon daily produces several million eggs. A large number of parasites in the intestines can lead to obstruction. Often, the reason to see a doctor is getting out with the feces of the long, detached posterior part of the ribbon.

When referring to a doctor, studies are assigned that are aimed at detecting helminth eggs. If the human body lives a wide ribbon, the treatment is carried out under the supervision of an infectious disease doctor and a gastroenterologist. In addition to medicines, for extracting parasites, use the extract of male fern and a ready-made decoction of pumpkin seeds. After the treatment, a control analysis for helminth eggs is mandatory.

In order not to become a master for parasitic worms, it is necessary to eat only properly prepared fish, thoroughly roasted or cooked. They will not contain live larvae of Lentian in well-smoked and salted fish.
