Fescue is red, meadow and sisaya: the biological characteristics of species

Fescue red refers to perennial herbaceous plants and has a highly branched root system. It is a dark green grass with a leaf width of 1 to 2 millimeters. In the first year it grows slowly. The final formation of the plant occurs in the second or third year. The culture develops well on sandy loams and loamy soils. Fescue red is common in the floodplain and dry meadow meadows, cretaceous slopes, in the mountains, on drained swamps. The grass lives in the forest and forest-steppe zones. The most favorable soils for this plant are sufficiently moist, loose, rich in humus, well drained light loamy and sandy loam soils.

This herb is very quickly restored after a variety of mechanical damage, well tolerates regular mowing (up to 40 mm) and trampling. With a high level of agricultural technology, life expectancy can be up to ten years. Fescue red is a frost-resistant grass that grows in both shade and brightly lit place. As a rule, after planting, shoots appear after about ten days.

The plant is used to create a variety of lawns. Its main value lies in the fact that even in the dry summer its leaves remain bright green. Fescue red grows intensively, it grows very fast, forming a beautiful carpet of green color. This plant is characterized by high nutritional and digestibility. In the grass contains a significant amount of minerals, as well as protein. Red fescue successfully tolerates grazing, actively grows after the winter, intensively develops, well forms an otava. Due to the listed properties, this plant is widely used in culture in the process of organizing long-term pastures and lawns.

Fescue oatmeal lives in Central and Eastern Europe, Western Ukraine, the Baltic, the Caucasus and the Urals. The grass has blue-gray leaves. The leaf plate is narrow, linear, from gray to blue-steel in color. The plant is thermophilic, it grows best on sunny areas with sandy soils.

Three to four years after planting, the bush is divided. Experts recommend that the plant be transplanted every two years to obtain an intensive color of the leaves. Fescue fescue is often used as a ground cover plant, but in this case it is rather difficult to maintain uniform growth of each bush. Sometimes individual plants die in the center, especially often in dry drought or wet winters. Therefore, to restore the decorative areas, it is always necessary to have some stock of planting material.

Fescue meadow grass is a herbaceous cereal plant, reaching a height of 120 centimeters. This plant has a fibrous root system. The roots of meadow fescue penetrate up to 150 cm deep. Saddle fern red is much stronger than meadow fescue. The stems of the plant are numerous and erect, in the lower nodes can be curved. In addition to generative shoots, meadow fescue forms a significant number of short, well-veined vegetative. Leaves are dark green up to 8 mm wide and up to 300 mm long.

In the spring, vegetative stems grow very quickly. In the first year of its life the plant is characterized by intensive growth, but generative shoots are formed only in the second year. This grass is shade-tolerant, frost-hardy, it can withstand severe frosts under the snow, it dies under ice. Meadow fescue perfectly tolerates flooding with meltwater. The plant is very demanding for soil conditions.
