The choice of cells for ornamental rabbits is not so simple. Not every dwelling will suit your pet.

The first thing you should pay attention to when buying a cage for decorative rabbits is quality and quality. All materials must be strong enough. Please note that the animal will always try all the rods on the tooth, check the bottom for strength and, possibly, organize the toilet in a place where it is not provided. Therefore, the lattice should be metallic (not painted in any way!), The bottom - retractable, better plastic. This will make it easier to clean the cage. It is not necessary to buy completely plastic closed dwellings (the similarity of an aquarium). On the one hand, they are relatively safe, because the animal is extremely uncomfortable gnawing the walls, on the other - there is no air circulation, which will negatively affect the condition of the rabbit. Heat and stuffiness are dangerous for the life of these animals.

Cages for ornamental rabbits (photo below) should be spacious enough, at least four times the size of an adult animal. Looking for shelter for your pet, keep in mind that placed trays, drinking bowls and feeders will occupy additional space, reducing the living space. Remember that the animal must move freely and be able to lie down, completely stretched out.

- drinking bowl (best of all - automatic, for example, ball);

- feeder (stable, heavy, ideally - ceramic);

- Crèche (especially for hay);

- a house;

- the tray.

Most automatic drinkers have built-in tubules with balls at the end, when touching which the water begins to drip. Rabbits very quickly learn the basics of such watering. The advantage of such drinkers is not only in economy, but also in keeping clean: animals often pour water, poured into ordinary containers, here the cell will always be dry.

Feeders can be of two types - floor and suspended. Both species are quite comfortable, small in size, well washed. However, it should be borne in mind that rabbits are active rodents, therefore the materials from which the feeders are made must be natural. In addition, swallowed pieces of plastic can cause intestinal injury.

Ideal nurseries are made of metal (lattice or mesh) and are located outside the cage. For ornamental rabbits it will not be difficult to get food from this design, and space saving will be significant.

It is important to understand that without nurseries you can not do without, as hay laid just on the floor of the cage will quickly deteriorate and the animal can get poisoned.

A house in which rabbits are happy to retire is performed only from wood (conifers do not fit). The finished product should not be painted.
