What is the length of working time?
What it is?
This term describes the length of time during which the employee is at the workplace in accordance with the employment contract concluded between him and the employer. At the same time, the law stipulates both the duties of the employee and his rights for the period of stay at the place of production. In turn, the employer must properly keep records of the above-mentioned intervals by means of time sheets, which indicate the length of working time for the month and beyond. It should be remembered that each individual employer has the right to independently establish the framework for the beginning and end of the work day, the lunch break, as well as the general working time regime.
What does this include?
In addition to all of the above, it is important to remember that the definition of "working hours" does not include the intervals necessary for the employee to get to the place of duty, as well as the periods used to prepare him directly for work - for example, for changing into a working Clothing or bringing in the appropriate type of workplace (in the event that otherwise is not stipulated by the employment contract).
1. Actual work in accordance with their job duties.
2. Fulfillment of military duties.
3. Performing public or government duties.
4. Issue and receipt of tasks.
5. Study of technical documentation and much more.
Classification
The current Labor Code distinguishes three types of production periods: normal hours of work, reduced and incomplete. Let's consider each of these categories in more detail. A distinctive feature of the latter is that it is established through agreement between the employer and the employee. The first species is the most stable. For single-shift enterprises it is usually a standard eight-hour day with a break for lunch and intervals for employee rest, if any. The reduced duration of working hours is often encountered in the form of a reduction in the period of work on pre-holidays (at the discretion of the administration).
