Medical examination of rights

The driver's license is an obligatory document for any car enthusiast. To get it you need not only to take exams, but also to visit a medical institution and submit a certificate of health. Who and when do I need a medical examination? What specialists need to visit necessarily?

To pass a commission in a medical institution is necessary when you first obtain a driver's license of any category for admission to the examination. You will need help and to restore or update driver's license. Visiting physicians is necessary for obtaining international rights, and when returning documents after being foreclosed for a certain period of time. You can pass specialists in any medical institution that has a license to provide services of this category. Medical board for drivers includes a visit to a psychiatrist, narcologist, neurologist, otolaryngologist, ophthalmologist, surgeon and therapist. Women will also need to undergo a gynecologist.

To do this, you will need a passport, a military ticket and two photos. If, for health reasons, driving is carried out using eyeglasses or contact lenses that correct sight, this should be reported to the oculist during the examination. Of course, a physical examination can be done using eye-improving accessories. In this case, a note is included in the certificate with the indication of the tool used, i.e. Glasses or lenses.

The medical certificate for the driver is valid for three years (for females under 50 and males for 55 years). After reaching the specified age, the examination is necessary once every two years. There are restrictions on the state of health, under which it is mandatory to conduct a physical examination for a driver's license once a year, regardless of the patient's age.

Who will not receive a certificate for driving?

The main purpose of medical examinations for obtaining a driver's license is to assess the state of health of a potential participant in the traffic. Even an amateur understands that some diseases make it much more difficult to drive. Despite this, even a driver with a disability can undergo a medical check-up and get a certificate. However, you can not get a certificate from people who have problems with alcohol and drugs or who suffer from mental illness. It is also impossible to become a driver in the presence of serious pathologies of the upper or lower extremities, severe hearing and visual impairment. A physical examination involves identifying chronic diseases of the cardiovascular and nervous systems, assessing the functioning of the vestibular apparatus, and the general physical and psychological state of the candidate for drivers. In the detection of certain diseases or special circumstances, the patient may be refused a certificate of admission to the management of the vehicle.

You do not have to pay a fine for an expired medical certificate. The enigmatic consequence is the inability to obtain rights or restore them in case of loss or theft.
