What to do if you need a passport change

The passport is the main document that certifies the person. Sometimes there are situations in which you yourself can lose your passport or you can be stolen from it, then you have to restore it.

According to the current legislation, the change of passport occurs in the following situations:

- identification by the owner or relevant services of any inaccuracies in the entries;

- if the validity of the passport expired;

- if the passport holder has changed his gender;

- the passport is also replaced when it reaches the owner of 20 and 45 years;

- the passport has become unusable and its further use is impossible;

- in case the sheets on which the relevant marks are marked are over.

The new passport is issued by the citizen of the Russian Federation who reached the age of 14 at the time of issuance, so it is not necessary to apply for a new passport until at least one month before reaching the specified age.

Change of passport is carried out in the Citizenship and Migration departments, for this you need to provide your passport, which must be replaced, or a statement of its loss. You will be given an application form, in addition, you will need 2 photos. Their size should be 35x45 mm, no matter what they are - black and white or color, the main thing is that they are of high quality. - documents that confirm your registration;

- documents on registration or divorce;

- If the passport is obtained for the first time, then all this must be provided with a certificate of birth of the applicant.

If all documents are available, within 10 days you will be issued a new passport, if you lost your passport, then this period increases to one month.

The change of passport for a girl who married and took her husband's surname does not require additional changes to documents that have already been received, for example, a diploma of education. If you need to present them, you just need to provide a marriage certificate. If the change of passport is carried out by a man who has changed his surname, he must necessarily obtain a new military ticket, other documents do not require replacement.

Neither men, nor women who have exchanged passports, there is no need to make any changes to workbooks. About this you will make a record indicating the number of the new passport and the date of its receipt. But in this case you will have to conclude another labor contract for a new name. It is also planned to introduce changes when changing the passport into such documents as various credit obligations. It will be necessary to re-arrange bank accounts and get new bank cards. Also, problems can arise if you decide to sell your home, which is designed for the old name, so this must be taken care of in advance. You will have to replace the technical passport for the car, as well as the driver's license.
