What is a pie with cranberries?

It should begin, perhaps, with a meat pie, as sweet cranberry pies are found much more often. Meat puff with cranberries cook very easily, if you use a purchased puff pastry. For half a kilogram of puff pastry, it is necessary to take 300 g of pork mince, mix with a hundred grams of finely chopped mushrooms, chopped green onions, add half a glass of dried cranberries and a teaspoon of dried sage leaves. It remains only to break into the dishes two eggs and mix thoroughly stuffing.

Now you need to cut the dough into two identical layers: one of them is to lay out the minced meat, and the other to cover it from above and wrap the edges. You can put the cake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes.

Now we are talking about sweet cranberry pies. Here, for example, a pie with cranberry and meringue. It is prepared as quickly as the previous dishes, but the dough for this pie is fairly easy to make by yourself. He will need a pack of butter, 3 yolks, 2 cups flour and 50 grams of sugar. First, the yolks are ground with sugar, and the flour with butter, then both mixes to knead the dough.

From the dough you need to bake a pie basket. For this, a shape or frying pan is taken, the dough is distributed along the bottom and sides. The test makes a lot of holes with a fork. The form should be placed for 10 minutes in a preheated oven.

During this time you need to make a filling. It will need 2 cups of cranberries, 3 proteins and a glass of sugar. Sugar should be divided in half. First rub half with cranberries. Then we prepare meringue: whites are beaten with sugar until a stable white foam forms.

Cranberries with sugar are placed on the bottom of the mold with dough, and the meringue is laid out from above with a spoon or a confectionery bag. Now the cake is put into the oven for another 10 minutes. The pie turns out tasty and beautiful, and does not require much time for cooking.

Another very interesting recipe: a pie with cranberries and nuts. Nuts for this pie can be taken any you like. The only condition is that large nuts, such as hazelnuts or cashews, will need to be ground, and pine nuts can be poured whole. The peculiarity of this pie is that it is inverted, that is, when baking, the filling fits down, under the dough. Thus, after cooking and turning the mold, the filling immediately appears from above.

First you need to make a dough. To do this, mix 3 eggs, half a cup of sugar, a bag of baking powder, 4 tablespoons of sour cream and a glass of flour. You can add vanillin. The output should be a liquid sweet dough. The next stage is the preparation of the form. In it you need to put paper for baking or foil, greasing them with butter. Then a handful of nuts are poured onto the bottom, a glass of cranberries on top, and sprinkle it all over with sugar. Then the dough is poured into the mold.

It remains to put the cake in the oven for half an hour. And then take it out of handicap and carefully remove the foil or paper. Cranberries and apples are a favorite combination for sweet pies in England. It was from there that an open pie with cranberries and apples came to us.

Preparation of such a pie takes a little longer than all the other recipes in this article. Basically, because you first need to prepare a yeast dough. However, the result is worth it.

For the test, the following ingredients are needed: a glass of flour, an egg, about 20 g of yeast, half a glass of milk, a spoonful of sugar, 30 g of butter, half a lemon peel.

You need to take two thirds of all the flour and sift it. In the resulting hill make a groove, put yeast there and pour in warm milk. Then the flour is slowly mixed into the milk. The resulting gum is covered with a towel and left for a while to come up. When cracks appear on it, an egg, mixed with melted butter, sugar, spices and zest, should be added to the spoon. Then pour the remaining flour and knead the dough. After this, it is again left to be approached.

While the dough is suitable, you need to make sour cream. Take 400 g of sour cream and add 2 yolks, 3 tablespoons of starch, half a lemon zest. Stir all the ingredients and put the cream on a low heat. It should be brought to a boil, while stirring constantly. Then it is removed from the fire and cooled.

Now you can start to form a pie. The dough should be well kneaded, then rolled into a thin rectangular plate and put on a greased baking sheet. Bortics do not need. To avoid the formation of bubbles, the dough in several places must be pierced with a fork.

Then spread the cream on the dough. The layer should be uniform. On top of the cream, spread the pre-peeled apples, cut into slices. In the middle of each circle put one teaspoon of cranberries. Before you put the cake in the oven, it can be sprinkled with grated almonds. And that on the pie appeared a beautiful crust, about in the middle of baking it gets out of the oven and sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Bake the cake in a preheated oven for about 40 minutes. Then pie with cranberries and apples should be cooled and only then removed from the pan.
