In northern latitudes, where its cost does not allow it to be purchased in large quantities, as a rule, make a mixture of feijoa with honey and lemon or other components. It turns out something like a jam, but without heat treatment, thanks to which all the useful elements last as long as possible.

It is enough literally a teaspoon a day to strengthen the body and prepare it for fighting against winter viruses. The feijoa recipe with honey is useful for those who are accustomed to treating colds with folk methods and try not to use medicines whenever possible.

Store this mixture should be in the refrigerator and it is better not very long (in a tightly closed dish you can for several months). Per kilogram of feijoa, you need 400 g of honey. You can use sugar, but then the benefits will be less. Feijoa needs to be washed, dried and tails removed. Then the berries are passed through a meat grinder, combined with liquid honey, mixed and placed in a clean dry jar. If desired, add a few crushed nuts (walnuts or hazelnuts).

First you need to wash the feijoa, cut off the tops and remove the tails, divided into several parts. With the lemon act in a similar way, removing from it as far as possible all the bones. Then the fruit is ground in a blender. Separately, they split nuts, mix them with honey. Then they combine everything and mix it well. There is another recipe for feijoa with honey and lemon, in which ingredients are passed through a meat grinder. In this case, the mass is less uniform, so that the grinding method can be selected as desired. The mixture should be stored in a clean closed container in a cool place.

Another simple, but original recipe using this tropical berry also helps to fill a stock of vitamins. However, the dish is not stored for a long time, so do not prepare for future use. For 10 berries feijoa need about 150 g of cream ice cream, a spoonful of honey, as much lemon juice, a little mint and a glass of natural yogurt.

The washed fruits are ground in a blender to a homogeneous mass, add lemon juice, the remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Serve immediately after preparation, decorating with mint.
