Moreover, in order to make an underwater gun, we need materials that may well be at hand. For this it is necessary to have a pair of skilful hands, desire and patience. The dredging of parts, assembly and testing of the finished gun will take a sufficient amount of time. Therefore, armed with an article with a full description of the manufacturing process and patience, you can create a real masterpiece. And the main thing is that the underwater gun, made with his own hands, will work without fail.

What is needed?

To ensure that the product has served for a long time, it is necessary to approach responsibly to the choice of the material, from which the pneumatic underwater gun will subsequently be created with their own hands. Some spare parts may be available, but something has to be bought. The good news is that you will not have to spend a lot of money on home-making. Here is a list of what you need:

  • Wire OVS, 65G or PC for the spring. The most suitable - a diameter of not less than two millimeters, and length - 16 m.
  • Duralumin tube. The diameter should be about 15 mm (without taking into account the thickness of the walls). Subsequently, the barrel of the future rifle will be made from it.
  • To make a handle, you need to buy or find two plates, about a centimeter thick. The material from which they will be made can be oak, and capron, and aluminum, and plastic, and so on.
  • In order to make a harpoon, it is necessary to use a rod made of stainless material. Diameter - up to 10 mm.

As it was already written before, it is quite possible to make an underwater gun with your own hands. Drawings can be found in specialized literature (example on the photo below). The main thing is to make a little effort and turn to the locksmith. With its help it will be possible to make the parts for the trigger more durable and reliable. Spring manufacture

As the most complicated part in terms of manufacturing, it needs to be dealt with first. Independently make a spring does not work, only with the use of special equipment - a lathe. The spring is wound from the wire, bought in advance, with a diameter of up to 2 mm. To obtain the required step length, first of all, it winds the turn to the turn on a rod with a diameter of up to 6 mm. Then a pull is made, which allows you to set the desired step length of 4.5 mm. After that, heat treatment is performed. The spring is heated to 300 degrees, and then cooled to 20-25 ° C. This is necessary in order to prevent residual deformations. In order to secure the spring in the barrel, and also to fix the spear, and not fall off, the turns at the ends must be heated and then bent so that they are perpendicular to the plane of the cross section of the spring. Its length should be greater than the trunk not less than 30 centimeters. The reason lies in the fact that the first shot will shorten the spring by 10-15 cm.

Barrel manufacturing

In order to make a barrel, you need to take a tube of duralumin (you can use a ski stick). The length will depend directly on the depth and area of the reservoir in which the shooting will take place. On average, the trunk should be about 60-75 cm.

Next, we take up the manufacture. You can use a duraluminic stick for skis. In the trunk it is necessary to cut out two cracks on both sides. They should be about 15 cm in length. You should know that the length of these slits will determine the ultimate power and strength of the gunfight. The holes themselves are needed in order to establish a sear. To water does not accumulate inside the trunk, you need to make another slit. Then you have to cut the thread on both ends of the tube and the finished part can be postponed.

To make these details, you'll have to take up the duralumin tube again. From it, the necessary parts and sizes are cut out. Then in the plug is made a hole for the harpoon. By connecting the cap, blower and trunk, we get an almost finished product. It remains to make a handle and trigger mechanism.

How to make a handle?

To do this, you need the pre-assembled plates. They need to drill a hole under the barrel. At the same time, its real diameter must be taken into account in order to cut out the necessary contours. Now I have to take the file. With it, you need to make a groove (not deeper than 4 mm) for the trigger. Then make holes for the axis of the sear, spring and fuse. At the end, both halves of the handle are connected and fixed using two screws. To achieve fixation and eliminate slip along the entire length of the trunk, you must first put the ring in front.

Trigger

To make the trigger, you have to turn to the locksmith. With its help the quenching of the sear is made. This is necessary in order for it not to bend, not to break - in other words, it did not deform after the first shot. The spring, as already mentioned earlier, is also faked by a fitter on the machine. In principle, you can do without his help. But that gun will not live a very long life. In general, we can say that the whole mechanism is made by a mechanic, the fisherman will only have to properly assemble it.

Harpoon. Manufacturing technology

The pre-stored rod with a diameter of 6 millimeters is needed in order to do what the fisherman will shoot. Make it easy. First, you need to connect the stick with the sliding sleeve. This is necessary to fix the tench. The sleeve is made so that the tail retains the harpoon, and the PTFE ring plays the role of shock absorber. The tip is pretty simple, but cunning. In order for the fish scales to be cut simply and quickly, it is necessary to sharpen it in several faces. In appearance, the tip is just a flag. And on it the wire, so that the fish does not come off.

Finishing straight. How to make an easy-spreader?

A plate of hard metal is attached to a plug on the barrel. Fastening is made by screwing the lightweight to the trunk with two screws. When the winding is done, the tench is under the plate. And in the process of the shot, the line attached to the fly's line is quickly and easily unwound.

If you follow all stages of assembly of an underwater gun with your own hands, then all will end successfully. Now we need to test it in action. To make charging, you need to insert the harpoon into the barrel until the click. After that, it remains only to press the trigger and the shooting will begin. Also, remember that you only need to charge and discharge the gun in the water.

The lethal force combined with a 3 meter range of damage can cause damage not only to the fish, but also to the hapless fisherman.
