Can I make my own electric shocks?

The question of self-defense is always somehow particularly acute. Nobody wants to think about what this can happen with him, but at the same time, no, no, he will think about the means that can protect him from intruders. Girls often carry gas cartridges in their bags, men prefer something more serious.

However, there is a downside to the medal - no matter how self-protective, it can not always be useful and effective, and sometimes even able to turn against the one who tried to apply it.

However, this is only a reason for caution, and not an excuse to give up self-defense. These tools can be treated differently, but, as statistics show, their availability reduces the likelihood of occurrence of cases when they may be needed.

What means of self-defense are there? Gas cartridges, traumatic and gas pistols and electric shock. As already mentioned, cans are good, but they are more suitable for women, besides, they are not always effective. Any expert will confirm that using it carefully - gas does not distinguish between one's own and another's. Traumatic weapons are too dangerous and it is not so easy to acquire. That is why the electric shock is coming to the fore.

And sometimes "kulibin" and the masters of all trades collect electric shocks with their own hands - combining hobbies and self-defense.

Is the assembly difficult?

The most urgent question is, is it possible to assemble an electric shocker yourself, is it difficult to do this, what is needed for this?

You can collect, and it's not more difficult than any other similar event when you have to deal with electronics. A knowledgeable person will understand and make a portable electric shaker with his own hands. For those who decided to try - you should always remember the safety precautions in order not to replenish the sad statistics.

What is needed for this?

The following details are needed for the assembly:

  • Some plastic case, a box or something like that.
  • Transformer.
  • Multiplier.
  • Electrodes.
  • Battery.

In fact, these are the main elements of the future device. In the case, partitions must be installed between the individual elements to avoid short circuits, and they must be fixed firmly and reliably, as using a self-made electric shock device may be necessary in extreme conditions.

How to collect?

Wires 0.2 mm and ferrite rods 2000 HM can be taken from old TVs. Instead, you can use glued rings, in any case, the shape of the rod should match the body and dimensions.

To create a transformer, you need a normal water pipe 2 cm in diameter and 50 mm in length. It makes grooves for winding wires. Also wind the ferrite rod with a wire 0.8 mm in diameter, making about 20 skeins.

The main rule is to do the winding on the rod and tube in one direction - counterclockwise or clockwise.

After this, it is necessary to wrap the rod with electrical tape and stick it into the polypropylene tube. The process is quite painstaking. The finished transformer can be filled with paraffin.

So, we have a transformer, which can be installed in the case. The electric shock device also includes a constant voltage converter, which must be added to the general electronic circuit in accordance with the rules. At the output to this device is connected a multiplier, working on capacitors with a capacity of at least 220 pF.

Diodes KC-106 or similar can be used. Thus, the electric shaker with its own hands is done quickly enough with all the details: a transformer, rods, a multiplier with capacitors. To supply enough ordinary batteries for 9-10 V. All of this is installed in the plastic housing for safety, it is equipped with a power-on lever. It's worth thinking about fuses to avoid accidental strikes.
