Treating stones in the gallbladder

Stones in the gallbladder (cholelithiasis) is a chronic disease characterized by the appearance in the gallbladder or bile ducts of one or more stones. As you know, the gallbladder is engaged in the production of bile, which promotes the digestion of food in the stomach. Bile in itself consists of bilirubin and cholesterol. When for some reason the bile stagnates in the gallbladder, cholesterol begins to accumulate and precipitate, from which small grains of sand gradually begin to form. In themselves, these grains of sand do not pose a great danger, but only if the gall bladder subsequently starts functioning normally. If the cause of bile stagnation has not been eliminated, the sand particles will gradually increase in size. Fusing with each other, they can form large stones that clog the bile ducts and interfere with the bile to enter the stomach. As a rule, the growth of stones passes gradually, for a long time, about 5-20 years. To prevent such a long development, it is necessary as early as possible to identify the disease and begin treatment of stones in the gallbladder.

Why are the stones formed? In a healthy person, the gallbladder works normally and there is no stagnation of bile in it. But there are a number of factors that violate this balance and lead to the development of cholelithiasis. These factors include increased cholesterol levels in bile with overeating, obesity, diabetes, metabolic disorders, etc. Stagnation of bile, and hence the appearance of stones, can occur with some other diseases, for example, flatulence, gallbladder infection , dyskinesia and many others. The cholelithiasis and pregnant women are subject to the development of the cholelithiasis, since during the process of carrying out the child a large amount of progesterone is produced, relaxing the gallbladder wall and inhibiting the outflow of bile.

Symptoms of the disease are usually pronounced. When the stone clogs the bile duct, there is a sharp pain in the right hypochondrium. There are also such symptoms as nausea, a feeling of bitterness in the mouth, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, a slight increase in temperature and bloating.

If any of the above signs appear, each person should definitely consult a doctor. Only after the delivery of tests and the passage of the study (and this is primarily ultrasound), you can identify the presence or absence of the disease.

Treating stones in the gallbladder is not always fast, as much depends on the course of the disease and the size of the stones themselves. As a rule, people seek help from a doctor only when the pain becomes frequent and unbearable. Until the same time, they all suffer or do not even suspect about the presence of gallstones. You can remove stones from the gallbladder in three main ways: compliance with diet, dissolution of stones under the influence of drugs and surgically.

Diet in cholelithiasis should be observed by all who have this disease. It involves the exclusion of those products that lead to increased cholesterol. First of all, this fatty meat, eggs, liver, sausage, as well as other fatty, smoked, salty and spicy foods. Everyday diet of the patient should consist of vegetables, fruits, dairy products and liquid cereals (buckwheat, oatmeal). In some cases, the treatment of gallstones successfully ends when dieting alone. But this happens rarely, only if the stones are small. In other cases, you will have to resort to taking medications or surgical intervention.

Treatment of stones in the gallbladder with drugs can only take place under the strict supervision of a doctor. They also will be prescribed the necessary drugs. If the medicine does not help, or the pain interferes with a person's normal life, the stones are removed by a special device through small punctures in the area of the gall bladder. Sometimes, ultrasound treatment is used, in which larger stones are broken into smaller ones and are removed from the gall bladder when taking medications.

You can treat stones in the gallbladder and folk remedies. But, as always, you need to do this carefully. For example, 30 minutes before a meal you can drink a glass of sauerkraut juice. And so 3 times a day. Or during the day to eat 2 glasses of red ashberry (you can mix with sugar).
