Tomato Blagovest - the best hybrid for a greenhouse

This plant is often called the best of greenhouse hybrids. It is not surprising that the tomato Blagovest receives such a characteristic. It refers to early-ripening and very productive tomatoes. Fruit ripening on it is noted in the period from 98 to 103 days after full emergence of sprouts. With such precocity, in addition, it has an excellent taste and is resistant to a whole complex of diseases. He fructifies well. Usually from a bush gather up to 5,5 kg of fruit.

Gardeners are very fond of Tomato Blagovest. The responses of some of them show that they often manage to get a bigger harvest using their original agricultural techniques.

Hybrid refers to determinant plants, but its growth is not small. It can reach a height of 1.5 meters to 1.8 meters, so it must be tied up. On seedlings it is recommended to sow its seeds in early March. Planting it in heated greenhouses is possible when seedlings reach the age of 40 days. The landing in non-heated greenhouses is carried out in accordance with the climatic features of the area.

When planting, you need to consider that the plant is ultimately tall and spreading. Therefore, on the square meter, you can place no more than three bushes. Use a hybrid for open ground is not worth it, there his harvest will be small. The plant is recommended to form in such a way that the growth point is transferred to the side shoot. In this case, Tomato Blagovest grows in one stem. Do this as follows: the plant is removed by all stepsons until a third flower brush is formed on the main stem. Growing up under the third flower brush the stepson is left.

If the inflorescence appears on the top of the main stem, the tomato Blagovest stops its growth. In the future, growth can continue at the expense of a backup stepchild. When on the stepson there will be 4 inflorescences, its apex is cut off. Theoretically, growth can continue at the expense of a new stepson left under the third inflorescence of the second stem. But practically for a season one side stalk of continuation suffices. To make it easier to orientate in the stems, it is advised to mark the main stem and the one that grows from the stepson with ribbons of different colors. Tomatoes of this variety must be tied up, this applies to the main stem, and the escape of the continuation.

In the fruit brush of this hybrid is from 6 to 8 fruits. They are round in shape, smooth, bright red. Their weight ranges from 100 to 120 grams. They have a wonderful taste and can be used fresh or in the form of pickles and marinades, that is, they are universal in purpose.

What kind of care does Tomato Blagovest need first? He, like all plants, needs watering. It is especially important in the period of flowering, pouring and ripening of fruits. Watering should not be done often. It is enough to water the tomatoes once every 10-14 days. After watering, the greenhouse must be ventilated. Do not be afraid to keep it ajar. It is desirable that the air in it freely circulate, so it should be closed only for the cold nights. It is best to make holes in the ends of the greenhouse. Tomatoes do not like both waterlogging and overheating. Both causes damage to plants.

After watering, when the ground in the greenhouse dries out, it must be loosened to prevent the formation of a crust. In this case, we must try not to damage the roots of tomatoes, which are not deep.

The determinant tomatoes, to which the Tomato Blagovest belongs, should be fed regularly. Here the recommendations are different. Someone from gardeners spends 2-3 fertilizing per season with full mineral fertilizer. Others prefer to spend them every 14 days, using a small (30 g) amount of dissolved mineral fertilizers per square meter. Still others recommend to feed plants three times a season with double superphosphate and make potash fertilizers. Fertilizers must be applied after pre-irrigation.

Tomatoes of this variety require care, but it pays off an excellent harvest.
