Installation of the toilet bowl with your own hands: the choice of sanitary ware

Before you will install the toilet yourself, you need to dismantle the old plumbing. First of all, you should cut off the water. As a rule, to do this, turn the tap, located on the water supply. But for reinsurance it is better to block the common water in the dwelling, which can only be done by a professional plumber. You do not want to flood your apartment in the process of dismantling the toilet, and at the same time, your neighbors from the bottom?

Now you need to detach the cold water supply to the tank. Today, toilets are increasingly attached to the flexible piping, which can be easily unscrewed with a wrench. Then you need to drain all the water from the tank. If you have a metal piping, you have to cut out a part of the pipe and unscrew it from the water pipe side so that you can later have a nut for flexible liner.

If the old plumbing is fixed to the floor with a pair of bolts, unscrew them. But if the toilet in the floor is cemented, then you have to spend a lot of time to knock it out of the cement foundation. Take out the toilet bowl, tilt it and drain the remaining water, cut the plastic or cast iron socket of the sewer pipe to the desired size, then to place the corrugation there.

Installation of the toilet bowl with your own hands: instruction

1. If the method of fixing to the floor of the old toilet bowl had two bolts, then you simply put the new plumber on this place and screw it with new bolts. Place the docking of tiles with a toilet bowl with a sealant. If the toilet was cemented in the floor, then prepare the cement mortar, level the floor and put the plumbing, attaching screws directly through the wet cement screed to the mortgage of wood, which is available in all standard houses.

2. After you are convinced of a strong and reliable fixation, connect the toilet drainage hole to the sewer pipe. To do this, insert the corrugation into the socket, which must first be lubricated with a sealant. The second end of the corrugation is also densely coated with sealant and inserted into the drain hole.

3. Using a adjustable wrench, attach a flexible hose that must connect the water supply to the toilet bowl. Now check how well the toilet was installed with your own hands by opening the water, having filled the full tank and draining it several times. Nothing should leak anywhere.

Installation of a suspended toilet bowl

For this case you will need: screws and a drill with a screwdriver, a finishing material (tile, plastic or plasterboard panel).

Assemble the installation (load-bearing frame), in parallel build in it a tank, drainage system, the connecting flange of the discharge pipe, the drain pipe. Install the screws to the floor and to the wall. Close the frame with the finishing material that you prepared in advance. Check the installed panel for the presence of slopes. If everything is ok, start installing the toilet itself.

It should be noted that the hanging toilet bowl is put only after the completion of all facing works - the surface of the wall should be just perfectly flat. Remove the plug from the sewer hose, and on the pipes and pins, fit the gasket that comes with the plumbing. All adjacent holes align and attach to the wall of the toilet. At the end of work, seal all joints with a sealant. That's practically all. Now you only need to put the decorative panel of the descent button.
