Most of the problems of mankind arise from the fact that the resources of our world are limited, but the desires are unlimited. At a certain stage, we begin to understand that the goals begin to conflict with each other. And dozens of lives will not be enough to realize all the goals. Of course, it is possible to increase the efficiency of activities severalfold, but there will always be a shortage of something, we get used to the abundance much easier. And then you have to make unpleasant decisions - for example, to look for the most important thing in life and to cut off everything else.

As one Russian poet wrote, it is necessary to be afraid of the one who knows "right" and tries to impose all his understanding of the meaning of life. For example, to build communism or become a billionaire. These goals are different in the degree of balance of self-denial and selfishness. But the common in them is that they are unnatural, abnormal for a person.

The main goal in life can not appear on the team, you can not invent it in the process of preparing for the next interview in "advanced" companies. The most important goal is called life mission. How can you formulate it so that it calls for action and motivates you to achieve it?

First, the most important thing in life is connected with the imperfections of the world that you see around you. It is impossible to become happy simply by concentrating on one's well-being. The world will sooner or later amend its selfish program. Therefore, the goal of a "three-story palace on the shores of the Adriatic" can not be a life mission.

Secondly, the most important thing in life should not be connected with the idea of possession. Owning a million dollars is good when you are able to earn a couple of millions a year. You've probably heard that the winning astronomical sums in the lottery often end up poorer than they were before the lottery. Therefore, one must want to be someone and be able to do something. Then you can not be afraid of the vicissitudes of fate. Even if you lose resources, the ability to understand the situation and change it will allow you to return everything with a vengeance.

Thirdly, the most important thing in life should be connected with the idea of helping people around. The ideal goal is based on the fact that you understand your strengths and know what you can give the world. And it's unprincipled, it will be a design development of a machine for anti-gravity, a good book about relationships between people or an elegant dress that emphasizes the beauty of the hostess. Do what you do best. Do not concentrate on weakness, concentrate on strengths - otherwise you will all do mediocre.

Fourthly, the ideal goal of life should be connected with the creation of a new, contribution to the heritage. This gives meaning to life. With the right goal you will begin to understand that your appearance is not accidental and you have a mission very important for you and for others. This allows you to feel good, even when life clearly refuses to pamper you.

For example, at a certain stage, I realized that my life mission is to help people achieve their goals and see in every situation as many opportunities as possible. That's why pedagogy is right for me, I can help people see the perspective exactly when it's most important for them - in childhood. So it turns out that my profession is quite suitable for me. Of course, the payment for this work makes you wish for better, but pedagogy gives inspiration.

It is clear that the most important thing in life should be related to your values.
