The main hero of Ershov's fairy tale

The fairy tale was written by Pavel Petrovich Ershov almost two centuries ago. Children's literature can not be imagined without this work. A fairy tale awakens the imagination of children, serves as an adornment of our literature.

For the first time the fairy tale "The Little Humpbacked Horse" was published in 1834 in the journal "Library for Reading". There is evidence of Pushkin's editorial work. It was he who wrote the introduction to the fairy tale.

Criticism did not take Ershov's book seriously, believing that it was too lightweight. The fairy tale "The Little Humpbacked Horse" was appreciated by the tsar. The first edition of the book came out with bills.

The main character of the fairy tale is the son of the old peasant Ivan. The author never calls him "Ivan the Fool", but from a philistine point of view, from the point of view of people who, for the sake of a calm, well-fed life, are reconciled with lies, cunning and deceiving for their own well-being, Ivan looks straight-forward and stupid. The hero of the tale does not pursue the momentary benefit that so attracts sensible people. His wisdom can be called universal.

It is not necessary to represent Ivan as a superhero. His character contains features that make him understandable and do not particularly attract us in the main character of the fairy tale "The Humpbacked Horse". The fairy tale says that Ivan was naive and foolish, he liked to sleep, he was lazy. But at the same time he was honest in words and deeds, not greedy, did not steal, acted according to his duty and this word, which helped him to win over his magic forces. Often the "mind" of Ivan's older brothers exposes them as limited and primitive people who can not step over the petty profit.

"Though you are smarter than Ivan,

Yes, Ivan is more honest with you:

He did not steal horses from you, "Ivan reproaches his brothers.

The opposition of the mind and stupidity, honesty and dishonesty tells us that "Humpbacked Horse" was written by Ershov not only for children. The wealth of content, magic and colorfulness make a fairy tale a favorite by children. "The Little Humpbacked Horse" is also of interest in many respects to adults as well - first and foremost, by various turns of the story stemming from the characters of the fairy tale heroes, vivid and convex, masterfully described by Ershov in a few words.

The hero of a fairy tale, having received in his possession wonderful horses, does not become haughty and arrogant from this. He readily agrees to help his relatives out of trouble. After falling on the royal service, Ivan shows his "talents":

"He eats sweet.

He sleeps so much,

What expanse, and only! "

The main "employer" Ivan - the king - turned out to be a petty tyrant, easily influenced by Ivan's envious headphones. The plan conceived by the tsar, as it is easier to lime Ivan, forces the latter to turn to miraculous powers that always come to the aid of honest and just people. The protagonist of the fairy tale "Warmed up the potter, sat down on his skate ..." and goes to the "long way" to carry out the orders of the tsar-tyrant.

The image of the king is contrasted in a fairy tale to the image of Ivan. The king at Ershov is stupid, cruel and despotic. He mainly cares about things that are not related to the welfare of the state and the people. The king is worried about the desire to become young to marry a young princess. Being burdened with a lot of cares about the state, the king prefers to lazily lie on his side and listen to the gossip of his informers.

The stupid tricks of the king lead him to death in boiling pots, from which Ivan emerges as a handsome man, who has rid himself of his uneducated peasant appearance.
