Suprastin for children is prescribed if the child has a rash or other sign of an allergic reaction. In general, the drug can be used from the age of four weeks of the child. It helps with hives, and with various types of dermatitis. For example, with atopic dermatitis, which is considered a congenital disease, Suprastin struggles quite effectively. The first signs of this disease can appear in the baby at the age of six months. However, they are often observed much earlier. In any case, atopic dermatitis will not recede, if only Suprastin is used. For children with such ailment, a special treatment course consisting of several drugs is prescribed.

Suprastin for children up to one year is assigned to one-quarter of the tablet. It must necessarily be crushed to powder, and then mixed with food for the child. Suprastin for children who are older than one year and under the age of six, it is recommended to use also as a powder from one third of the tablet. A child up to fourteen years of age should be given one-half tablets once a day. Remember, do not use Suprastin for children yourself. It is allowed to give the medicine only once. Then the parents should always contact an experienced specialist for advice.

The drug is often prescribed by pediatricians if children have an increase in body temperature. However, this remedy must be combined in such a case with antipyretic drugs. In any case, only the specialist has the right to make such appointments.

Suprastin for children should not be used if the child has bronchial asthma. The agent can irritate the mucosa of the digestive tract, in particular the stomach. For this reason, it is not recommended to use it if the baby has a peptic ulcer, especially during periods of exacerbation. To some components of the drug in children can be increased sensitivity. With great care, Suprastin should be used for children who have any kidney or liver disease.
