Ecological education of preschool children

Ecological education of preschool children is the formation of a correct worldview on the attitude to the surrounding world, to nature, the formation of a clear vital position. To begin to educate the person in this plan follows from an early age.

Ecological education of preschool children is inextricably linked with the upbringing of other positive traits of character: kindness, responsibility, empathy, diligence, observation, indifference. And the first significant step to achieve the set goals is to stay in the house next to the baby's pet. The love for them, the need for an elementary care for their pets, encourage the person to feel necessary and obligated.

Even if the parents do not have the opportunity to keep animals with them near their homes - to teach the child to love nature, to admire it, to respect everything created by it, they can and do not care. To this end, children are taken to zoos, read to them relevant literature, tell interesting stories related to wildlife.

In kindergartens, environmental education of preschool children is based on monitoring the behavior of animals in the "living corner", feeding them, and caring for them. Watching every day the growth of cubs of rabbits or guinea pigs, aquarium fish or birds, kids understand how important it is for a person to protect nature, help it, not harm or destroy it.

Such an elementary example. The boy, in passing, broke a branch of a tree. Clever mom immediately made a remark to him, explaining that it hurt the tree, that the branch is a part of the living organism, that since it grew it means that it needs a tree. The tree tried, extracted from the earth nutrients and water for a long time, so that this branch reached such dimensions. And the kid in one move brought to nothing all his efforts, hurt him, inflicted a wound.

Of course, only by talking one can not achieve much. Children are practices. Therefore, after the conversation, it is necessary to invite the energetic kid to help the tree (let it not be the same, but to the other), dig up the earth around it so that more air flows to the roots, whitewash the trunk to save it from harmful insects, to cover with wax the wounds inflicted by the same frivolous People.

Everyday environmental education of preschoolers is the planting of green onions in a jar on the window, and hanging the feeders in the winter on trees, and planting flowers in the spring on the lawn in the courtyard.

And even the usual "raid on the nature" can be made not only fun entertainment, but also a useful exercise, provided that adults behave in the forest or the river properly.

The child in this case will remember from childhood that it is impossible to litter in the forest, to harm living creatures: ants, birds, lizards, frogs. It is better not to burn bonfires on the nature, and if necessary, do it with observance of important rules.

The concept of "ecology" in kindergarten can be brought to the children in the form of a fairy tale of environmental themes, for example, about the fairy-tale kingdom in which ants lived - these amazing friendly workers! And suddenly, in their measured life, a catastrophe occurred: a terrible, cruel monster threw a stick at their castle, killed many residents, deprived the shelter of helpless, newly hatched babies and still unborn.

Also, environmental education in the kindergarten includes interesting large-scale events of the level of the group or the entire children's collective, for several kindergartens or for all children's pre-school institutions of the district or city. It can be "The Feast of Birds", "The Meeting of the Queen of Spring", "The Autumn Ball", a competition of dramatized performances of fairytales about animals, subbotniks to improve the plots and many others.
