Confess, how often do you eat cranberries? Most likely, not very much. But for fans of a healthy lifestyle this berry would be a real panacea. Vitamins contained in cranberries act on the body much more efficiently than vitamins in tablets. Cranberry is especially useful for children. After all, it is much better to eat natural, created by nature, a vitamin than produced in a chemical laboratory.

Infectious diseases, inflammations, stomach diseases, genito-urinary infections, problems with the gums - all this and more can prevent a small cranberry berry. Recipes that include this useful "sour swamp ball" are very diverse. In addition, cranberries have a unique property to persist for a very long time, because the benzoic acid contained in it is a true preservative of natural origin. Therefore, even frozen in pure form cranberries retain their useful qualities.

From these berries you can independently make such a delicacy, like cranberries in powdered sugar. It is done very easily and quickly. For 50-100 grams of berries you will need two egg raw protein, 200 grams of powdered sugar and one tablespoon of vanilla or lemon juice. Cranberry rinse well and allow it to dry out a little. Whip the proteins with sugar powder, add vanilla or lemon juice. Berry one by one immersed in a protein-sugar mixture and spread on parchment to dry. Dry the berries better, laying them in one layer, but not a handful.

You can make and harvest for the winter, always useful for such cranberries in sugar. The recipe is as follows: one kilogram of berries will need 1.6-1.7 kilograms of sugar. Take a glass jar (or several, depending on the size) and begin to fill it with cranberry, layer by layer, pouring it with sugar. When you reach the "shoulders" of the can, make the final filling with sugar, tightly close the jar with a lid and put it in a cold place.

There is another option, as the cranberry is stored for storage. Recipes are similar to the previous one in that the amount of sugar and berries is identical, but the way of cooking is slightly different. In this case, cranberry berries are well crushed with a wooden pestle or are scrolled in a meat grinder. After this, the resulting mass is mixed with sugar and placed in jars. Above, again, we fall asleep with all the sugar, close the lid - and in a dark, cold place.

And you can also prepare Morse, the main component of which is cranberries. Morse recipes are different for everyone, but for an example, here's one: wash one kilogram of berries in running water, then pour them into a colander and immerse them in boiling water for 3-4 minutes. After that, the berries are rubbed with a wooden spoon through a sieve and mixed with a liter of boiled hot water and a glass of sugar. The resulting juice is poured into bottles and, after sufficiently cooled, is put in the refrigerator. In the future it can be consumed in its pure form, one glass 3-4 times a day, and can be diluted with boiled water, getting a kind of vitaminized drink. Also, this fruit juice can be added to tea.

This is such a useful, cranberry. Recipes with this berry were known and appreciated by our great-grandmothers. For example, when coughing, they used cranberry juice, which was mixed with honey, and the temperature was lowered by it, but diluted with water. Also, cranberry juice, mixed in equal proportions with juices of pomegranate, apple, lemon, carrot and beet, with the addition of 50 grams of honey, is used to raise hemoglobin in the blood.

But nevertheless in some cases it is not necessary to use a cranberry. If you have a stomach ulcer, gastritis, a disease of the duodenum, increased acidity, cranberries can only exacerbate the situation. Also, excessive consumption of cranberries or juice from it can spoil the tooth enamel, so try after eating these berries, it is good to rinse your mouth with water.
