Slovak beer "Golden Bantan", its history and characteristics

Zlaty Bazant translates from Slovak as "Golden Pheasant". This is the name of the popular beer brand, which belongs to the famous producer of beer and other beverages - Heineken Corporation. The company claims that the main thing in its work is loyalty to the old Slovak traditions and strict quality control of the products. Beer "Golden Bantan" is sold not only in the territory of Slovakia, but also exported beyond its borders.

Historical reference

The history of this brand of beer began in 1969, when a new brewery was opened in Gurbanov. Its products quickly spread to the bars of the then Czechoslovakia, and also went beyond. Only during the first decade of activity of the brewery the frothy beer "Golden Bazant" was so loved by consumers that the manufacturer was able to establish export to 12 countries of the world.

1971 was marked by some technological developments. The first in the state line for bottling beer in tin cans was launched. Since 1995, the brewery has received a new round of its development: the company was bought by Dutch corporation Heineken and immediately invested huge material resources in the modernization and renewal of production. Great attention was paid to marketing. This significantly strengthened the position of the brand Zlaty Bazant in the world market.

The result of such a stormy activity was not long in coming. The modernization was followed by a significant increase in the volume of beer sales. In the domestic market, it doubled. In total, the brewery consumes 140 tons per year in the production of its malt product alone.

Taste, color and other characteristics

Experts say that the beer "Golden Bazant" fully justifies its name. Its color is really very deep and pleasant. It is complemented by a persistent aroma of malt and hops.

The manufacturer makes several beers, among which there is also a non-alcoholic. Very popular beer "Golden Bazant" wheat light with a strength of 5% and a relatively high density - 12%. It is produced in bottles of 0.5 and 0.33 ml, as well as in half-liter cans. Dark beer has a smaller fortress (3.8) and is sold only in glass.

The design is carried out with an emphasis on the ancient traditions and culture of Slovakia. A unique ornament, developed by a team of artists especially for this brand, formed the basis for the collection of accessories Zlaty Bazant. The name of this beer is due to the unique nature of the environs of the city of Gurbanov, in which the first brewery is located. The weather in those parts is considered the best in the country, there is never a cold with temperatures below four with minus degrees. Such conditions proved to be ideal not only for brewing, but also for gold pheasants. These birds have long chosen the meadows and forests around Gurbanov. And it was in honor of them that the name for the new beer was invented in the early sixties. Beautiful nature, incidentally, explains the high quality of raw materials produced in those parts. Equally important is the quality of water - even dilettantees know that it is impossible to produce soft and tasty beer from bad water. But in those parts the water is good. As well as other necessary components: wheat, malt, hops.

The producer of the beer "Golden Bantant" recommends before serving to cool the drink to 10-12 o C. This helps the taste and aroma to be maximized.

If you pick up suitable snacks for this beer, choose your choice of baked meat, hot frozen bacon, fried poultry meat, fish delicacies or seafood. Suitable for him and traditional beer snacks: juicy chips, salted nuts, jerky.
