Recipe for onion rings in chickpea dough and in corn batter
The recipe for onion rings is an excellent snack idea for a friendly get-together with beer. This is not the most useful dish, because deep-frying means an increased amount of calories. But the recipe for onion rings at home will help you cook a much less harmful snack than the one you can buy in the store. After all, chips and other snacks of industrial production are terrible not only by the amount of oil, but also by the content of various additives that can adversely affect digestion and even cause exacerbation of chronic diseases. Let's try to implement the recipe for onion rings in the chickpea test, and then in the corn batter. You are guaranteed to enjoy not only the result, but the process.
Recipe for onion rings in chickpea dough
This dish is served in beer restaurants in Germany, Canada, Britain. Also in Asian kitchens there are similar recipes - onions are dipped in a liquid sauce with spices, and then deep-fried. For those who care about the shape and condition of the stomach, we suggest replacing the roasting by baking. If you are worried about the crunchy properties of this product, then your fears are in vain - the dumpling dough will not only expand your culinary horizons by its unusualness, but also allow you to make onion rings (the recipe with the photo will convince you of an excellent appearance of the dish) just melting in your mouth. You will need a third of a standard cup of chickpea flour, a teaspoon of rice, freshly ground black pepper, large salt, a third of a cup of cold water. The test is enough to make a snack from one large bulb. Cut it with a very sharp knife into equal rings. The more identical they will be, the more uniformly they will be baked.
If the need to deep-fry does not scare you, choose the onion and proceed. You will need corn grits, ordinary wheat flour, kefir, salt and pepper to taste. Cut the onion rings with your hands and, with ice water, leave for a couple of hours. Then take three plastic containers (or deep plates). In the first, pour in wheat flour, pour kefir into the second one, and in the third place flour mixture with corn grits, spices and salt. Alternately roll the dried onion in flour, kefir and corn mixture. Then fry in a deep frying pan about five minutes. Debate with a napkin and serve with ketchup or any sauce.
