- For the presence of a certificate of state accreditation, since only according to educational programs successfully passed this procedure is a state-recognized diploma. If you did not find the chosen specialty or the direction of preparation in the list of accredited ones, this could mean either the absence of the first edition of the university, or, if there were already issues, the lack of accreditation. The first option means that everything is legal and there is no need to fear that in the future you will not receive a state diploma. The second is that the university does not meet the state requirements for educational organizations and it is better not to enter it.

- It is important to carefully read the official websites of selected universities. In accordance with the Federal Law "On Education" all universities are obliged to put information about the material and technical base, personnel, library resources. It is useful to know whether your profession is provided with the necessary laboratories, licensed training programs, whether contracts have been concluded for the practice of students with serious organizations, what percentage of persons with academic degrees and titles are in the department that is graduating in the chosen specialty or course of study. Is there a library of its own, is there an agreement with the university about cooperation with electronic library systems, etc.?

Since student life is not only a study but also an interesting extracurricular life, it is useful to ask if there is a Studclub in the university, what it is famous for, what mugs and sections are offered.

For those applicants who come to Moscow universities from the regions, the presence or absence of a hostel is important, the conditions for obtaining it, the amount of payment, its location relative to the academic buildings.
